"You knew of the consequences of making your wish. Why are you upset?"
Kyuubey sat down on her shelf, staring at Ring, who was cuddled in a big ball of blankets on her bed. He gently hopped down onto her bed, laying down at her feet.
"You.. You could have warned us.. Instead.. you chose to sit down at the sidelines and watch.." Ring slowly exposed her face, her eyes filled with anger and hate. "Do you know exactly who Asa was? Do you know how important she was?" She slowly uncovered herself, getting out of bed. She forcefully grabs Kyuubey by his scruff, lifting him up into her eye view. "Don't you incubators know ANYTHING?!" She shouted.
"We incubators know more than what you think, Huo Ring. However, it was you three who never asked me about her strength. I was going to warn you all but then the witch attacked, knocking you all out of my range of telepathy. It truly wasn't anyone's fault." Kyuubey explained.
Ring looked down at the floor, dropping Kyuubey before covering her face, sitting back down against the bed.
"I don't understand why you humans are so emotional when it comes to the loss of others. We incubators see emotion as a mental disorder, you know." Kyuubey hopped onto the wardrobe.
"..Because that's just it, incubator. We are HUMAN." Ring uncovered her grief-stricken face, "Humans are the literal physical embodiment of emotion.. What do you think our souls are, anyway?" She glared.
"The spiritual or immaterial part of a human being or animal, regarded as immortal." Kyuubey said.
"Wrong. Our soul is our emotions in a manifestation. Why do you think that certain upsetting moments can turn a soul gem black?" Ring said, staring at her hands. "Or how certain things can taint our soul gem.. not to mention make us go crazy?.. Why.. Why do you think.." Ring began to cry again.
"..I think that it is best if I retire for now." Kyuubey said, twitching his ears as he stands up. "I'll.. come back when you're more stable. The world can't stop just because Asa was slain, Huo Ring. Witches will still continue to attack.. whether you are up to fighting them or not. Farewell." Kyuubey said, before disappearing in a beautiful flash of purple and pink light.
"..." Ring stared at the floor, before falling back down into her bed. "..You incubators.. are horrible.." She whispered, curling up in a ball, falling asleep with tears pouring from her eyes.
..
"HRAAAAHH!!" Tsuki shrieked, slamming her warhammer against a large, white entity with glowing golden wings..
The wings of the witch began to crumble, and she hit the ground of her large labyrinth.
Tsuki gently landed, panting heavily, leaning on her hammer. "This one.. is tough.." She whispered, staring at her darkened white soul gem. "I don't get it.. why are the witches just getting harder and harder to fight.. It's not making any sense."
"Well.. witches are born from magical girls." Kyuubey appeared, hopping out of the shadows. "Harder witches are just.. born from stronger magical girls."
"Well what is going on then? Strong magical girls just THROWING themselves into becoming witches? Why are you contracting rookies then, Kyuubey." Tsuki sighed, lifting up her warhammer. "I don't think that I can take on this thing strictly by myself, Kyuubey. Is there a way you can ring for another magical girl? Kind of like some sort of cellphone thing?" She growled.
"Not unless they're in my radius." Kyuubey said, shaking his head. "Looks like your only options are to fight the witch and risk your life, or to flee."
