Bunking With a Vamp
Chapter One
"MOTHER!!!" I shouted.
"What!" My mother called out.
"I am NOT going to Camp NightLand!" I barked crossing my arms.
"Yes, you are!" mother shouted back tired of this argument.
"Maria, honey, you have been locked in your room all year long, your nose buried in books or that damned laptop of yours. You scorn all the boys that want to be with you... whoa, I think hell just froze over, I just said I wanted my youngest daughter to date," my father said stunned.
"But why camp, why can't I go to music camp like Jade... or go to Europe like Jessica... why wilderness camp?" I whined.
"We want you outside, get dirty, get into trouble for God's sakes," mother groaned.
"But mom..."
"You are going to camp and that is final! End of discussion!" Mother said seriously, her eyes flashed, that was a warning sign and I was defeated.
"OHHH," I groaned and turned around stomping up the stairs and I arrived to my room and slammed the door so violently that few pictures on the wall fell.
"What the HELL!" Jade said running out the bathroom with her hair in curlers.
I ignored her and paced our room, muttering under my breath.
"Calm down or you'll have a heart attack," Jade said taking a few curlers out.
"Shut up, how can I go to Camp NightLand... it's a wilderness camp... me and the wild DON'T mix," I moaned and flopped on my bed.
"It'll be alright," Jade said sitting next to me rubbing my back. "After all, it will only last a month."
"A month without a cell phone, no laptop, no any modern day technology, it's going to be torture."
"Maybe, maybe not, you'll never know. You might have fun over there, don't judge a book by it's cover."
"Maria, if you are not packed in ten minutes, I'll burn all of your books!" Mother shouted from downstairs.
I buried my head in a pillow and screamed, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"I think you better pack, I think she is serious," Jade said walking back to the bathroom.
I let out a dry sob and got up, I grabbed my suitcase and slowly filled it with my clothes. I looked at my books and grabbed the Twilight books and wedge them into my bag. I tossed my toothbrush and hairbrush and other supplies. I put in my tennis shoes and one pair of black high heel boots... you never know when you need heels. I flipped the lid and it won't close.
"Jade, please come and sit on my suitcase."
Jade groaned and plopped on my suitcase and I latched it closed.
I have to leave in a few hours.
"Goodbye, my dear friend," I kissed my closed laptop. I grabbed my cell phone and wedged in my bra strap.
'They wouldn't dare check me here,' I thought as I adjusted my breasts to hide the cell phone.
*******
The plane was extremely uncomfortable considering that there was a kid behind me complaining that he wanted three Juicy juices instead of two the whole time. And then my taxi never showed up forcing me to ride a smelly bus with a gothic looking guy next to me. The worst part was, was when I asked him to move his bag he gave me a "Fuck you" look and then stared back out of the window. So I was poked in my side the whole ninety minutes and eight seconds! Thank you mom and dad.
