*Kiyomi's Perspective*

I woke up and wiped the tiredness out of my eyes. As I sat up and stretched my arms out, I realized what today was and instantly my mood dropped. I looked over and saw Aiko still peacefully sleeping. She was the only person I knew that could sleep for days without even knowing.

I felt almost bad if I woke her up, because soon she would be faced with the same horrible thoughts I had. I decided to let her sleep a bit longer while I went to the bathroom and freshened myself up. Hopefully Aiko is right and there will be cute boys in the leaf.

As I stared at my reflection in the mirror, I couldn't help but feel scared that in days from now I would be living a whole different lifestyle. I would be stuck with people I never knew, or cared to know. Today was one of those days you just look at yourself and think 'wow life sucks'.

I guess as a shinobi, complaining about life and whining about leaving to a new village makes me weak. Maybe I should listen to Minyo and be more optimistic, but in this moment in time I couldn't care less. I brushed my hair so it wasn't a complete mess. I walked back out to the room to see Aiko hadn't budged at all.

A knock on the door startled me, but somehow didn't wake Aiko. Kankuro peeked his head in.

"I hope I didn't wake you" He whispered, giving me a small smile.

"No need to whisper, this girl could sleep through a Great Ninja War"I joked earning a loud chuckle from Kankuro, who immediately covered his mouth after it was let out. Once he saw Aiko hadn't moved his body relaxed.

"Gaara told me to have you guys ready within the next 25 minutes, he's speaking with the Leaf shinobi right now."He said quietly knowing it would probably upset me, which it did.

"I can't believe this is happening"I huffed while running my fingers through my hair. Kankuro put his arm around me and brought me into a hug.

"You and Aiko will be perfectly fine. I know it will seem tough at first, but you will adjust. Im sure of it"He said with a reassuring smile. "We should probably wake her up, don't forget we have to go in 25 minutes"

"I'll let you do the honours"I laughed, looking over to Aiko. Kankuro slowly went over to Aiko and sat on the edge of the bed.

"Aiko, earth to Aiko, wake up" He spoke softly, gently shaking her leg. I laughed knowing that he would have to do better than that if he wanted to wake her up. He shook her again, earning a pillow to the face.

"No" Aiko mumbled turning over. Kankuro looked at me for help, I shrugged my shoulders signalling I had no answer for him. I knew how to wake her, I just wanted to watch him struggle. Maybe he would come up with a new technique.

"Come on Aiko, please wake up. For me" He said in a cute voice, this only got him another pillow to the face. He got up walking away in defeat. He stopped and turned back around quickly. "Aiko, wake up. We're getting dumplings" He smirked, he had done it. Aiko slowly and unsurely raised her head.

"Did you say dumplings?" She groggily questioned.

"We're leaving in 20 minutes itoko, hurry and get ready"I laughed. I was still amazed that Kankuro's cute voice couldn't wake her up, but dumplings could.

"Really , that's all it takes to wake you up. I guess we know where your priorities lie" He smiled shaking his head.

"Why didn't you wake me up sooner?" She exclaimed, only now realizing how little time she had.
