"Excuse me? Lilac?"

"Yeah?" She smiled.

"Um, I saw a boy..."

"Where?"

"Up on the ground. He was my age. We should do something to save him, right?"

Lilac laughed.

"Don't worry about that. It's not your business, Baylee. We'll figure everything out."

Baylee was far from happy about that response. Lilac shoved her off so carelessly, and it seemed like she didn't really care about the little boy trapped above.

Alright, then, if you don't want to save him, I'll do it myself.

Baylee found herself standing up with her fists clenched, but soon realized she was just trying to look brave- mostly just to herself.

Maybe she could take action. Find where people got out of the place and come up to land.

She looked up again. The Boy was nowhere to be seen.

Nevertheless, he had to be somewhere.

Suddenly she realized that she was scared. Baylee had never planned anything so big before.

But nothing else mattered now, since her normal, healthy was in the dark past.

Baylee looked after The Man Who Led to find a small door.

Small, but made of metal. There was no way a ten-year-old could open that.

Baylee peeked at him with curiosity. He tapped some buttons and the door opened with a creak.

The girl fell on the ground and crawled up the tiny set of stairs. She rolled outside.

Cold air hit her face. Baylee was wearing nothing but a skirt...

She ran, hoping it would help warm her up.

"Anybody! Anybody?"

Apparently, "anybody" was somewhere else.

"Hello!" Baylee shouted louder.

"Hey! Who's there?"

It was a young voice.

"I'm here! Baylee! Baylee-"

She hesitated, realizing that there was no point in saying her last name now, since it wasn't needed.

She was just Baylee. At least to him.

"Here where?"

"On the snow! In the street! I'm ten!"
