"W- wait? You're gay?" I said in disbelief.
"Mm-hmm." he said, still clinging on to me. "Ever since I was little. Heh.."
"Oh wow."
"So, the necklace must be from your boyfriend, huh?"
"Yeah, I had to leave him in New York. It's a photo of us after our first date." I opened the heart on the necklace and showed it to him.
"Wow, you're two seem like a great couple."
"Yeah, but, I don't know what to do. I mean, I want to keep him as my boyfriend but... I don't know."
"Aww, it's okay." He put his arm around me. "I had to leave my previous boyfriend as well. Had to move to the U.K. to stay with his biological parents."
"Oh."
He leaned in closer to my ear. "I think you two should break up."
"Break up?!" I said, shocked. I put my head down. "We've been dating for so long and-" he put his hand on my leg. I looked up at him and he gave me a smirk. "W- what are you doing?" I said, scared out of my mind he knew I was into him.
"I know you want to date me, Tony, and I'm totally fine with that. You just gotta tell your boyfriend that because you're a long distance away, you can't be together anymore."
"I-... but-... we've be-" he put his hand over my lip.
"Don't say no more, alright?" he said in a quiet tone.
"Alright. I'll do it."
"Alright. I guess we're together now."
"Yep."
We both kissed in the middle of the lunch area. I hoped no one saw us.
But, then again, I'm giving up Julier, and we've just been together for so long. I kept the necklace. I kept only one promise from Julier. I didn't want to forget him. Never would I ever want to forget the boy who changed my life once. Now, Alex is the second.
