Nicole's P.O.V.
I look at Phil. He has no idea that Dan and I are in the room. He's on top of Ashley, and they're kissing. They're practically all over each other. "Try not to swallow each other," Dan says. I swear to god, he just read my mind.
Phil and Ashley break apart, and Ashley runs her hands through her blonde hair. "What the hell, you guys?" she says.
"At least lock the door next time," I say.
"Sorry..." Phil says so innocently. It's funny. He was just about to get it on with someone and he's acting like a child. It's adorable.
"Are you guys together?" Dan asks.
"...No," Ashley says. I have several thoughts in my head.
They were either about to have a one night stand, or they're friends with benefits. Will Dan and I ever find out? Probably not.
"We'll just leave you two to... continue," I say as Dan and I start to walk into the big bedroom.
"Do you wanna go to your hotel room instead in case they... ya know?" Dan asks. I nod, and Dan goes to grab his suitcase. We pass Phil and Ashley again, and they couldn't even be bothered to stop making out even though we were in the same room.
Once we get into my hotel room, I start to change into my pajamas. Dan does the same. "What movie do you wanna watch?" I ask. "I have all three Rush Hour movies, Beverly Hills Cop, Vacation, oh and..." I pause.
"And what?" he asks, confused.
"High School Musical 2," I say. He starts to laugh.
"Ok, we have to watch that together!" he says in excitement. "I've never seen any of the Rush Hour movies though." I instantly drop all of my DVD cases.
"You're joking... right?"
"No."
"Fuck it. We're watching the first Rush Hour movie. We can watch High School Musical 2 another time, babe," I tell him.
"Ok, is it good?" he asks.
"Are you kidding me? It's so fucking funny!" I say. "We have to watch it together."
All of a sudden, I hear a loud moan. I know that's definitely Ashley. "I don't even wanna know," Dan says.
"Eh whatever, let them do their business," I say, starting to laugh. We grab the movie and put it in the DVD player.
"They're still going at it?" I ask, listening to them moan. "It's so awkward listening to them."
"I know right?" Dan says. As we're watching the movie, I rest my head on Dan's shoulder. The night is filled with laughs, love, and happiness. Especially at the part where Detective Carter says, "DO YOUUU UNDERSTAND THE WORDS COMING OUT OF MY MOUTH?!" (if you've seen Rush Hour I love you).
Later, when the movie ends, we put the disc away and head to the bed. "I wonder what's going on with Phil and Ashley," I say, raising my eyebrows. It was weird how they were making out. "I could hear them fucking in the background while we were watching the movie. It was terrifying." I start to laugh. Dan and I both burst into a fit of laughter, for no reason other than Phil and Ashley having sex.
After a brief amount of silence, Dan speaks up. "Wanna get them back?" He smirks and chuckles a little.
"Maybe..." I say.
"I was kidding, love." I turn away from him in disappointment. I don't necessarily wanna have sex with him, I just want him to go down on me. But how do I tell him that? I know it's so early in the relationship, but I feel like I've known him for years. He would be gentle with me, whether we're making love, he's going down on me, or anything else. He would treat my body the way it should be treated. But at the same time, I feel like I'm not ready. I can't decide what I wanna do.
"But... I kinda wanted to," I say.
"Have sex? Now? It's too early in the relationship, in my opinion," he says.
"No... I meant.. uh.. let me explain something. Last night, I had a dream that you went down on me, and I want that dream to come true at some point." Dan looks at me confused, but intrigued.
"I can do that if you really want me to. Is that why you were masturbating in the shower?" he says, and my cheeks go red.
"Well yeah... but I also feel like it's too early in the relationship," I tell him.
"Don't worry. One day we'll get them back," he says, making me laugh.
"Goodnight, Dan."
"Goodnight, Nicole. I love you."
"I love you more."
His love is better than words.
