Her head was aching now. She changed her clothes, firmly put on her tinted glasses on her nose and went down to get Ceylin. It was past her bedtime. She tucked Ceylin in her bed and told her a story. Ceylin went to sleep. Feriha kissed her forehead and returned to her room. She knew Savde did not leave the topic of resemblance. She heard Emir telling Savde that everyone was not lucky enough to born with all advantages.

'There was silence for a moment. 'You always defend this girl, this mysterious Miss Aynur who looks so like your daughter. Why is that Emir?

Impatiently Emir said, 'you are thinking too much out of nothing. Do we have to spend the whole evening discussing Miss Aynur? Let's stop the topic and go for our dinner.'

She closed her door softly without any noise. She was eavesdropping? But how could she stop herself when she knew Savde was intrigued with her. She was in her bed but sleep had disappeared from her eyes. She heard the sound of steps. Steps stopped near her room. Emir and Savde were talking in low voice. She could hear Emir's soft laughter.

She could not stand anymore, covered her face with pillow to block the murmuring sound. She was jealous and felt pain too. She wanted to cry loudly. Was it not ironic that she thought she only felt hatred for Emir? She had claimed that she was over Emir but was she really? Had she ever stopped loving him despite his cruel betrayal? Her pillow was wet with her tears. Emir was always her weakness. A part of her existence. She felt emotionally drained.

She loved him, perhaps she had never stopped loving him...would love him until her last breath. He did not love her now. Why he never asked for divorce? But where was the need of divorce as girls were always smitten with his charm, chasing him? She was jealous .What kind of situation she had put herself in. She couldn't live without him.

She was turning tossing in her bed, she felt tired. All her hatred for him had disappeared when she saw him with Ceylin. But she wanted to find the answers for the pain she had gone through. Only Emir had the answers. He didn't love her; Ceylin was the proof of that. Four years ago he had lied to her, deprived her of her own daughter. The thought again angered her. She was entangled within her own thoughts.

She went downstairs for her breakfast. Her eyes looked tired because of sleepless night. Emir already was eating his breakfast.

'Good morning, Miss Aynur,' He stressed on her name, 'What's wrong? Are you ill?'

'No, I am fine.' She spoke flatly. She didn't want to eat.Her hunger had disappeared seeing him at the table. She avoided looking at his intense gaze.

"But you seems to be tired. 'He said softly. 'Driver will take you the bus stand and you can have some days off. You can go to your place. Rest won't do you any harm. It's Thursday today and you will be back by Monday.'

Feriha couldn't speak with his out of blue decision. He was sending her away. He couldn't do that, he could not. She stammered, 'No-I don't want to go.'

"You are not being given any choice. You are going and you will go.'

"You can't make me----Ceylin will miss me'

'I am not firing you. You can come back on Monday. I have told you already, I don't want Ceylin getting too dependent upon you.'

"Why not?' She burst out, not caring about the Emir's reaction.

"You seem to be enjoying it here at the moment, but no beautiful woman like you is going to live in the village forever.'

Feriha started to protest but Emir stopped her. 'Hold your breath. One thing I have learnt in life is that women are not to be trusted. Here today gone tomorrow. I don't think you are different from the rest. I don't want Ceylin to get hurt when you do leave us.'
