Feriha nestled in Emir's arm, kept walking, surrounded by the serene, white beauty of mountains. Feriha could not keep her curiosity for long. She wanted to know about Levant sir when Emir earlier was talking to Koraye. She found Emir looking at her with guarded looks as she mischievously smiled at him.
" What's the matter, Feriha ? Why are you looking at me with your impish smile? What's cooking in your tiny beautiful brains?"
"Don't be alarmed, Emir. It's nothing. I wanted to ask you something since you talked with Koraye."
"What about? You heard whatever I said to him. You were standing there in my arms."Emir teased her.
" Emir you were talking about Levant sir. Is everything alright, In Fact, I was surprised? He is supposed to be your sworn enemy. Did he say something or did something wrong? "
"No, Feriha first time I talked to him, should say he talked to me also and kind of helped me to find you when I was not thinking straight and was running helter-skelter. I knew already he loved you. But this time realized anyone can fall in love with you. But my dear wife, You have a jealous husband." Emir laughed aloud.
" Yes, I heard him talking to Hande about crossing the lines. You took him as a person with whom you used to confide your insecurities, your fears concerning me. You had trust in him. When we are on the brink of losing something then realize the importance of that person. Perhaps we can understand better. We realize our mistakes."
"Feriha you had known he loved you and still you confided in him our problems? He had many times tried to widen the rift between us. Remember the time you have shifted to the dorm because I have hurt you once again. That time he smiled sarcastically at me saying that I have lost you this time as if saying forever. Not easy for me to forgive him but when I listened to his conversation with Hande then forgave him. He is thinking of going back to his old life means at sea."
"Emir we will shift to our new house wherever you choose. You must have heard the saying-Home is where the heart is--. I want to start our life afresh in new surroundings."
Both went on recalling the beautiful memories, merged slowly in the white mist.
