Why did she come back if not for divorce? Where she was all these years and with whom? Whatever happened that night was at the heat of the moment. He accepted that Levant stood with him when Feriha had left the home only after listening to his incomplete conversation. Still he never trusted him knowing his love for Feriha. Feriha had undying trust in him despite him being labelled as the prince of nightlife. He was surrounded by celebrities from a very young age. He didn't trust anyone. He learnt to value family because of her.

One night played havoc in his life. He had to leave that night because of an urgent call from one of his clubs from Italy. He had left a letter for Feriha with his mother. When she was telling him the truth then he did not believe her and when she lied then did he believe her lies? He wanted to believe what he wanted to believe. What an irony!

Emir had not bothered to say goodbye when he left. What was she expecting; she asked herself mockingly-a husband kiss? Now that he had gone, what he had said alarmed her. She would be alone with Emir in the house after Ceylin went to sleep. She abruptly decided to make sure to be in her own room before Emir returned.

Ceylin was happy to play with her friends. Feriha was relaxed for once away from Emir's presence. The time passed quickly, Feriha looked at her watch and saw it was almost eight. She said goodbye to the family and left with Ceylin. House was brightly lit when they reached. Feriha could only guess that Emir had got home earlier than was expected. Ceylin was tired and dragging her feet. When Feriha was removing her boots and jacket, she heard her say sleepily, "Hi, Daddy.'

"Hi, sweetheart, I was beginning to wonder where you were.'

There was something in the tone that made Feriha look up sharply but Ceylin was chattering away to her father. She yawned. 'Carry me upstairs, Daddy?'

"Sure. Let's go dear.' Lifting Ceylin in his arms, 'Feriha, I am coming back.'

It was not a request and she had no intention to obey him. 'I am tired too. If you don't mind, I would really prefer to go straight to bed.'

Over Ceylin's head, his eyes looked at her with suppressed anger. 'I do mind,' he said firmly, 'I won't keep you long.' He looked at his daughter, his face softening. 'Say goodnight to Miss Aynur, pet.'

Feriha had no intention of stepping any closer to Emir to kiss Ceylin. 'I will come up and say goodnight, dear.' She said, daring Emir to contradict her.

When she went upstairs, Ceylin was already in the bed, her eyes drooping. She kissed Feriha, and then insisted on kissing Emir again. "I like having you both here. It's like having a mom as well as a daddy,' she said drowsily. She could have no idea her words were like a physical blow to her. She was Ceylin's mother but Emir had denied her as Ceylin's mother. Unable to look at him, she left the room and hurried downstairs, knowing too well that he would follow. He came into the study behind her, his mouth grim.
