The plane finally landed after seven hours of sitting next to the crazy cat lady. Who just had to tell me all about Snickers, the lactose intolerant feline.  Blah blah blah, I did everything not to roll my eyes at her. It sucks mom sent me alone to Ireland. However, she did frantically call dad before she left the airport. I walked off the plane a little woozy from sitting all these hours. Went to find my luggage, but my dad was holding it already. He even had a sign with my name on it. Only my dad could seriously be that embarrassing. I chuckled to myself, at least he dressed nice today. Don't get me wrong, my dad never dressed horrible. He was always wearing flannel shirts, blue jeans and dirty work boots. Today was different, he had a nice button up shirt and khakis. He even had dress shoes on. What occasion was for this attire?

"Well I'm glad you made it kay." he smiled and hugged me.

"We have an important meeting today with someone very special, and she can't wait to meet you."
I could hear the excitement in his voice. Please dear lord, don't tell me he's dating again. I smiled even though I didn't want to meet whoever she was.

"Sure dad, let's go meet em." I tried my best to sound all happy. How could I be happy right now though. Things are happening to me and I don't even know why.
We walked in silence towards his old green 1999 Chevy truck. He's had this thing since I was born. As he drove down the road, I sat in silence. The amount of questions buzzing around in my head gave me a headache.

"So kay, I know this is alot to take in all at one time. Trust me. I was scared when I started to change at your age." He glanced at me and smirked.

"You was scared? My dad, thats not scared of anything?" I questioned him as if he had lied about it. Dad had always acted like nothing scared him. So, why would changing scare my dad?"

"Yes, believe it or not I get scared. I just don't let you or mom see. What you are about to go through is not an easy process. And.."  He paused and thought about how to phrase his words. "Kay, if your body doesn't take to the change then you'll die. If you don't eat the way vamps should, or keep up on your exercise. Your body will start to reject the change. You'll get very sick, and possibly drown in your blood."  As those words came out of his mouth, I noticed a tear fall from his eye.

He really is scared of the change being rejected. Hell, I'm now freaking scared! Die in my own blood! Who the hell thought this is what happens if it doesn't take!
I changed the subject quickly.

"So dad, when do I get to meet your new girlfriend?" I smiled and pretended I wanted to seriously meet her. Ugh, another new woman. I hated the freaking last one. He looked at me funny, then started laughing.

"My what? New girlfriend?" He kept laughing. "You mean goddess Onyx? No honey she's going to be helping you learn all of this. I wish I was dating her." He just kept laughing.

Goddess Onyx is going to teach me about my new self? Okay, well at least it's not another girlfriend I guess. I asked dad what it's like to live here. We talked about the mountains, people, and the weather. I think I might actually like it here.
We arrived to a huge castle like building on a mountain.

"Wooow." Is all I could say when we got out.
