He finally didn't hurt anymore. His pain was finally gone, and cancer had won the battle. Mom and I cried as they lowered dad into the ground. The thought of everything my dad was going to miss made me hurt worse. After the funeral, we was on our way home. The rain started to pick up by then, and we could hardly see. All I remember is being hit head on by a truck. For some reason, I swear I seen my dad pulling my mom and I out of the car. I think I may have been delusional from hitting my head. We was rushed to the hospital just in time.
My last day in the hospital finally was here. After 8 weeks I was able to leave. My leg had healed up great and, I can actually walk on it again. However, I still have a small scar underneath my bangs. It proves that day had happened not to long ago.
"Okay, mom I'm ready to go home now." I smiled so huge my cheeks hurt. I put on my real clothes again. The feeling of having my own normal clothes again.
"We are going to head home, but to our brand new one instead. Your father had bought a house for us in Ireland when he got sick. I hadn't even known about it until the lawyer read me his will." She touched my arm like she always had when I was scared. She handed me a letter about a new school in Ireland id be attending as soon as we arrived. This is about to be a huge difference compared to Texas.
