"Welcome to your new beginning my lovely child. I will be Draven and your very own mentor through this process. I see by your face you have lots of questions. Let's go in the sitting room and join Draven." She smiled and led the way to the sitting room. How did I get her as my mentor? No wonder dad said he wished he was with her. I chuckled silently.
We finally made it to the room. Onyx opened the door and I immediately noticed the handsome guy. I felt like he knew I was staring at him. I could feel my face get red immediately.
"Kyran, this young man is Draven. He's a vampling just like you." Onyx pointed toward a handsome, dark haired, smirking guy. Dear lord he's hot. Uhh, I mean nope he's definitely freaking hot. Maybe that's how dad met mom. He smiled at me, and instantly I melted. Then again I've never been kissed ever.

" That's perfect beautiful." He scooted closer to me. Onyx cleared her throat to get our attention.
"You two will be considered as children of Onyx. Please wear that title proudly. Now let's get down to everything you want to know." She took a deep breath, as if she was preparing herself.
" So let's begin, when the change starts to occur small changes happen first. Your eyes, hair, teeth, and skin color. I can tell that kyran has started her change early. Aspen tells me you could hear him. That's actually one of your gifts. Each of my children will receive three gifts." She paused waiting for questions. Of course, I had alot of them.
"So we have gifts? Do we have different ones then each other?" Draven asked as soon as she paused.
"Yes, you both will have gifts. One maybe the same, or all be different. Kyran may understand animals, read minds, and be able to go invisible. While yours are seeing the future, incredible strength, and manipulating people. It all just depends." She watched our faces to make sure we were listening.
"Your gifts will come in time my children. Please don't fear your change being rejected. We have never had that happen. On another note, I'm sure you both want to know how in the world could vamps have babies, right?" We nodded and kinda laughed. She was right though. How in the world would that happen. Onyx shook her head and sorta laughed too.
"Well you see my children, vamps can not mate together. However, vamplings can mate. The young vamps body has not fully stopped the the reproduction process." I was in awe at this point. She knew I had a question from the look on my face.
"So only young vamplings can reproduce. When do we fully turn into an adult vamps?"
I was really interested now. The thought of being a young mom though was not that interesting.
"Well, when you graduate you'll become adult. You'll go through you'll final change. However, in order to mate with another vampling or even a different species. You must imprint with them. You'll learn how to do that in class, or it may even happen on accident. You two look very tired, I'll show you to your rooms."
We nodded and began following her down a couple different hallways. Man, I really hope I don't end up lost somewhere. I laughed at the thought of me being lost somewhere in the castle.
