Darrian & Danica

We discovered a letter the other day in mom and dad's bedroom. Danica had been searching through Mom's random boxes under their old bed. We scanned the letter over and it had read:

     To my babies,

Your father and I will always love you both so much. There are no words great enough to describe how glad we are to be your parents.
Darrian please always look out for your sister. She needs you right now, and she's been going through alot. I pray you will always be there for her no matter what.
Danica please listen to your brother. He will always have your best interest in mind, even if you don't think so.
In this envolop there is money for you both to go to the school we did at your age. I hope you both find this if anything had ever happened to us. Please listen to Angello she will teach you everything you'll need to know in life.

It seems like yesterday when the tragic event happened. Our parents so kind and caring people had been shot in a drive by. It wasn't because the gang hated them. It was the guy they was supposed to shoot had the same exact car. If only we had a different vehicle then maybe they would still be here with us.
A tear shed down my face and onto the letter. I have to be strong for Danica now. We are all we have left in this world. I called the number on the bottom of the letter to get ahold of Angello. Got which flight we needed to book from Brooklynn and packed our things to leave. Off we go to our new life in Ireland.
