After showering and throwing on some jeans, a shirt and braiding my hair it had been a sufficient amount of time. Rosy had called me about five minutes ago telling me to get down stairs because they were finally here. I dreaded walking down the stairs knowing that this was probably going to be one of the most awkward events of the year.Sucking up every last piece of confidence I had left in my body I opened my door and walked down the stairs. Sitting in the living room was a older lady with dark brown wavy hair and a little girl with the same dark hair. What was missing was the apparent third and fourth member of their family.
"Oh there she is, Amanda this is Lillian, she is the oldest, Lillian this is Amanda Jackson and her daughter Paityn." Rosy lit up in the sight of company, and I can't blame her because the only time she gets out the house is to go grocery shopping when we run out of food.
"Nice to meet you." I smiled and bent down to Paityn. "And look at this pretty girl, how old are you?"
"She is four years old just like me!" Squealed Ava. Amanda laughed, I looked over at Ava "Ava that was rude, you should let Paityn speak."
"Oh, I'm sorry Pay-Pay." Paityn giggled and nodded, continued playing with her dolls signalling that she was done with this conversation. I got up smiling and Rosy took over the hostess job, as always.
"Let's go set the table. Supper is almost finished." She motioned for me to go and set up the table while her and Amanda went into the kitchen to finish preparing stuff for supper. As I was setting out the plates I could hear the girls giggling from Ava's room. After I was finished setting the table I went to go get the girls to help them wash up for supper. When I rounded the corner at the top of the stairs, I ran into something hard and had a uneasy sense of deja-vu wash over me as I was thrown up against the back wall for the second time today.
"What in the-" For the second time today I opened my eyes to find dark blue ones staring into them.
"For we meet again angel." He said, with a smirk on his face. He was obviously hot from his toned muscles you could see through his shirt, to his jawline that could cut diamonds. I scoffed. I was not ready to deal with him again, of course it would be my luck to have to live by him of all people. I rolled my eyes and muttered under my breath,
"Why does the world hate me?" Fortunately for me, he picked up on what I had said.
"Oh angel, I think the world considers you the luckiest person right now." He leaned down next to my ear. "I got an idea of how to make you feel even better." He breathed on my neck and it sent shivers up my spine. I got my head in order and decided that two could play his game. I turned my head and got up close to his ear and brushed my lips on his jawline before getting close to his ear and whispering
"I'm a little busy at the moment." In this moment of weakness I put my hands on his chest and pushed him back, going into Ava's room to get the girls for the second time.

We were all sitting at the dining room table with Paityn on my left, Marcus on my right, Amanda in front of me, Ava in front of Marcus, and Rosy in front of Paityn. A classic country meal sat on the table in front of us, and we all fixed our plates, rotating the vegetables around the table.
Amanda and Rosy did most of the talking, with a few thrown in comments from Ava or Paityn every now and again. I was in the middle of eating my chicken when I felt Marcus put his hand on my leg, I nearly choked on my food and Amanda looked concerned.
"Lillian are you okay sweetie?" Everyone stopped eating, except for Marcus who continued to inch his hand up my leg until it was on top of my thigh. I reached for my napkin on my lap and slapped his hand away.
"Yes ma'am I'm fine, I got a little choked is all." Marcus was grinning like a child and I just huffed and continued eating. After thirty minutes of talking about school and their new house and various reasons of why they moved here, the food was finally gone and Amanda was offering to help Rosy clean up.
"Oh no I would hate for you to do that, you were our guests Amanda." Rosy shook her hand, disapproving Amanda offering to help, even though she already knew Amanda would not leave until she helped clean at least a little bit.
"Rosy, I am staying to help you clean and that is final. Now Marcus and Lillian go watch over the girls and we will be done in no time." Amanda started gathering up the plates and Rosy went to go start in the kitchen, muttering something about the company staying to clean up.
I got out of my chair and started up the stairs to head to my room. I shut the door behind me, only for it to be opened seconds later.
"Angel I'm hurt, you left me so quickly." He faked looking hurt with his hand over his heart, I just rolled my eyes and sat down. I sat up and gasped, he looked over shocked.
"What is it?" He asked with concern on his face.
"I think....I think...I think I forgot to care." I finished out with as flat tone I could manage and turned back to grab my phone off of my desk. Not seconds later my phone was ripped out of my hand and before I could even pout in protest he stopped me.
"Hush Angel, I'm adding my number into your contacts so that you can contact me when you are oh so desperate for my company." He smirked, throwing my phone, and his body, on my bed when he was finished.
"What are you doing in my rooommm?" I drawled out, wanting him to sense my annoyance, of course he didn't.
"Angel I must keep you company, no lonely angel is a happy angel." He smiled looking over at me.
"I thought you hated me. And what's with the nickname anyways? Did you lose all of your other side chicks this week? Is that why you're pestering me?" I rolled my eyes, spinning around in my desk chair stopping when he abruptly got up.
"You know nothing about me, so if I were you I suggest you enjoy the fact that I am being nice to you and stop with all the assumptions about me and my life." He had both arms on either side of the desk chair and I could see the fire burning in his deep blue orbs, seconds later he was slamming my door and later slamming the door to my house.
"Well that my friends is how you have a dinner party." I said, even I was cringing at the irony of the situation.
