Aparri knocked on the door, his heart hammering. It had been a dark and scary walk to Skorm's den, but he didn't mind. He had to find Bepper. She was usually always back when she said she was, or contacted him when she went somewhere. He'd Jamagramed her, Jammer Walled her, checked his buddy list, but she didn't answer. Something terrible must have happened. He shifted his paws.

What if she was carried away by a hawk? Or fell off a cliff? Or... even worse, got attacked by phantoms? His heart flipped and he knocked on the door again. Still no answer. This was all his fault. He should have watched over her. It was his responsibility. Ever since their parents died. Oh why oh why did he leave her to go off on her own?

"Hello? Skorm? Bepper?" There was no answer. Maybe they were at Wisteriamoon's house. He looked at the dark forest, shadows swimming among the trees. He shivered. It was worth a try. He plunged into the forest, shouting.

"Bepper! Bep where are you?" He ran faster, the icy wind tugging at his fur.

"Bepper!"

There was no reply. He stopped at Wisteriamoon's den, skidding in the dust at the front of her castle. He rushed up to the door and knocked, panting. There was a long moment, then a blinking, tired looking Wisteria answered the door. She blinked in surprise,

"Aparri? What are you doing here so late?"

Aparri took huge gulps of air, struggling to speak,

"Bepper....she.. she... I can't.. find.. her.."

Wisteria gave him a perplexed look, "Goodness Aparri are you okay?"

Aparri nodded, finally catching his breath,

"Bepper's missing!"

Wisteria gasped, "Missing? How?"

Her words sent a pang of guilt straight to his heart. Because of me. He pushed the thought away, the words flowing.

"She didn't come home, so I checked Skorm's den, and neither of them were there, so I went straight here; is she here?"

Wisteria shook her head slowly, "No, are you sure they didn't go out together?" She was referring to the two. Aparri shook his head,

"She'd tell me, she always tells me where she goes."

Wisteria nodded, "One moment" She disappeared into the den, returning a moment later, dressed.

"Should we contact AJHQ?" She asked, peering into the gloomy darkness. Aparri bit his lip,

"What buddies are nearby?" He asked. Wisteria tapped a button on a elf bracelet and a screen popped up. She stared at it for a moment, then said;

"Artymis, TypicalRocky, Remember324, and.." She paused, looking up at him; "Skorm."

"That means Skorm is at Typical's house!" Aparri jumped to his paws, not waiting for Wisteria as he raced through the trees towards Typical's house. Of course Skorm was at her house. He was her best friend. The two wolves halted at the little cabin, Aparri rushing up and knocking. There was a pause and then,

"Coming!" It was TypicalRocky's voice. She swung open the door and stared at the two breathless arctic wolves.

"Is Skorm here?" They said in unison. Typical raised an eyebrow,

"yeah..." She swung open the door wider, shivering at the cool breeze; "Come in."

They stepped inside as Skorm walked in from the other room. He blinked at them,

"Oh, hey guys." He said. Aparri marched up to him, teeth bared,

"Where is Bepper!?" He demanded. Skorm flinched,
