Julian2 opened his eyes and blinked. Where am I? A peaked wooden ceiling stretched above him, lit up by dim candles. A burning pain throbbed in his flank and his lungs felt crushed and compact; making every breath a struggle. He tried to get to his hooves, confusion flooding over him. Then a wave of memory crashed into him and he let out a gasp. He remembered the seven jammers visiting him, the seven famous jammers. Why would all of them visit him? He hardly knew them. He wasn't even that famous. What had happened to him? He faintly remembered falling from a tree, and his head throbbing. There were footsteps and the kind deer nurse stepped into his ward. She smiled at him,

"Feeling better?"

Julian shifted, the pain in his flank searing as he moved it.

"I'm okay thanks." He was surprised at how his voice rasped and how much an effort it was to speak. The nurse fumbled with some things on a desk next to his cot and pushed a clay cup of water and a tiny white pill towards him. She felt his forehead,

"Fever" She said softly, holding up the pill. Julian took it obediently and took a mouthful of water from the cup. It sloshed out, splashing his chest with ice cold liquid. A sudden flash of memory danced in front of his mind. He remembered cold water engulfing him, throwing him all different directions and ripping the air from his lungs. Then it was gone, and he looked up to see that the nurse was cleaning up the broken clay cup that had fallen from his hoof. He blinked apologetically,

"I'm..sorry."

The nurse looked up, "Oh its fine, get some rest."

But Julian was still confused, something told him that something was wrong with him. His mind tried to calculate his symptoms. He had to have learned this somewhere. Fever, hard breathing, loss of... Exhaustion crashed over him, making his world spin. He pushed it away, determined,

"What are my symptoms?" he asked, glancing at the nurse who had stood up. She set the broken pieces of clay on the desk, looking surprised;

"Fever, an open wound, difficulty breathing." she looked up at him, "Hypothermia."

Julian wondered if it was serious; "Stage..?"

"Two," The nurse tucked the blanket up to his neck, "But you'll be fine."

It didn't seem enough... something was missing. Something that he couldn't remember.

"Is.. that all?"

The nurse seemed to guess his thoughts, and she let out a sigh; "Memory loss."

The realization was a blow to Julian and he sucked in a breath; a thousand thoughts flashing in his mind. What time was he living in? How much had he forgotten? Was he already married? Already living in the future? He gaped at the nurse,

"How much did I miss?"

The nurse blinked at him, "We don't know, the doctor is coming soon to ask you a few questions."

Julian had never felt more afraid. It was worse fear than the fear of Hypothermia, worse than the fear of pain. He could've lost the memory of his entire life, forever. He remembered the look in WisteriaMoon's eyes, and wondered how close he was supposed to be to all those jammers. A wave of panic washed over him. How am I supposed act? Who am I? It was the first time Julian had ever asked himself that question. He felt like he was living in another animal's body. The thought made him shiver and he asked himself the same question again; how much have I missed? Or, how much have I forgotten? So much thinking was starting to exhaust him and he leaned back on the cot, fighting to breathe. The nurse dressed his side again, and Julian felt dizzy as he saw the jagged line, stitches lined neatly across his flank. He tore his gaze away, looking into the brown eyes of the nurse,
