Chapter Six

Jack's point of view

Why did she do that?

I was so confused, but all I knew was that the girl I loved was crying. And I wanted to be the one to comfort her.

So I ran after her.

I caught up to her as she was reaching the staircase. I grabbed her by the shoulder and she froze.

"Elsa, please, I want to help. You yelled at me before for not being here for you when you needed me. Now I'm here for you. So please Elsa," I said.

She slowly turned around and looked at me. Then slowly she said, "I'm a monster."

"No, you're not."

"Yes, I am. I hurt my sister twice now. I have no control over my powers," she said over her tears.

"Listen to me," I said grabbing her chin. "Listen. You are the most amazing, selfless, and kindest person I've ever met. Yes you made a few mistakes, but you're only human." I let go of her chin, and wiped her tears away.

I continued, "I know monsters. Believe me. I've fought quite a few. But, I don't know one who'd lock themselves away for years, so they wouldn't hurt their family."

That was all it took. She smiled, walked over, and hugged me. I hugged her back.

When we let go of each other, she looked at me and said. "Do you want the grand tour?" It took me a few seconds to realize that she meant of the castle.

"Yes," I said as her face started glowing.

She walked me around. Midway around the fountain she said, "I still can't believe I have this much power in me."

"I've always known that you had it in you."

"You always seem to know exactly what to say and do, Jack." She continued, "why don't we go outside and show off our powers like we used to. Come on."

She looked so beautiful showing off. When she was done, she said. "Now we both know how amazing I am. So, why don't you show me what you've got?"

"No, I'm good watching you show off."

"What are you scared?" She said looking at me. She always knew that I never back down. I walked up to her and gestured for her to stand back. She got the message and moved away.

With a swift move of my staff, I created a storm. It was similar to an avalanche. I even formed a tree of snow by manipulating the wind and snow. I knew I was showing off, but I didn't care.

"Who's scared now?" I said turning around, so she could smother me in applause. Only... when I turned, she wasn't applauding.

In Fact she wasn't there anymore.

No!

I hurt her.
