This girl.
I was already losing sleep because I kept thinking about her. And, here I was waking up again in this early time of the morning to show her the river spot.
After we all had our dinner and awkward conversations, we were all returning to our respective tents while I called to Annora and told her to wake up early and meet me at the camp fire spot. She didn't question anything, just smiled and went inside her tent.
Now here I was trying to get through Liam and Noah who was muttering small curses in their sleep because I was disturbing them by moving around to get out.
"Sorry" I muttered.
I got out seeing Nora walking towards the campfire. It was day break, a small light was present everywhere but the sun wasn't out yet. She had her hair out and wore shorts and a dark blue top. I had worn my usual above knee length shorts and light red Tee-shirt.
"Hey..!" I called out.
She turned around, and I saw that she was tired.
"Hey..." she said back waving and walking towards me.
I smiled and motioned her to follow me.
"I am done following you" She said, walking quicker to walk next to me.
"Then, let's walk together" I said and held her hand in mine. She interlocked her fingers with mine and walked by rocking it back and forth. I smiled and looked at her.
She looked at me and smiled back. "I... You are so beautiful"
"Thank you?" she said, almost laughing.
"what..?" I asked, confused. "What's so funny?"
"No, it's just that you seem so nervous around me"
"Hehehe" I rubbed the back of my head.
We walked a little more and stopped infront of the river bank.
"Oh, here we are" I announced. "The place where-"
"You and Sam used to come for swims" she completed, I looked at her. "I know"
"What do you not know?" I asked, playfully.
"A lot of things, really." She said "There is a lot of questions to which I haven't got an answer to"
"For example?" I asked.
"I don't know, yet" she answered.
"I'll tell you?"
"Shoot!"
"This!" I said and pushed her forward so that she falls into the cold water.
But, the only thing that was a huge surprise was when I fell in to the water as well.
Reason? We still hadn't let go of each other's hands.
Awesome right? How romantic.
However we let go when we needed to get balance.
"Gaaah!" She screamed, her teeth clattering as she swam closer to me. "Idiot"
I rolled my eyes. "But, you totally dig me" I said.
"Dig?" she asked, "Is that even a word?"
"Yes, yes it is" I confirmed smiling.
Suddenly she went inside the water and I wondered why. But before it clicked I was already pulled by my leg and tossed around.
When I came back to the surface of the water Nora was already on the land trying to dry her hair. Her clothes were sticking on to her body and her hair was all over her face.
"Give me a hand?" I asked.
"Sure" she said and held out her hand and pulled her inside with me again into the water and laughed.
"ASSHOLE!" she screamed and started splashing water on me.
I was still laughing and then held her close to me. That moment she froze and looked at me. I looked at her and smiled. "How long have you liked me for?" I asked.
"From when I realised I was missing you more than I should" she answered, slightly. "How long have you liked me?"
I paused for a moment. "From when we became friends"
She blushed and looked away. I smiled and bought her face close to mine. I leaned in and our lips met.
