Chapter 8- Flashback(Sam) and Apologies

(The people I'm writing about I see their personalities and apperence but it's not them personally [confusing]. They do look a little different in my mind but still. (Reality)

Trevors POV

"Sam?" I try.

"Trevor, what are you doing here?" sadness took his voice.

"You two know each other?" Kian asked.

"Oh wow you people are coming quick." Ricky walked in, thank god he did.

"Guess so." Connor shifted in his seat.

"Are you going to answer me?" Sam said sitting.

"Lyra's my, uh" I stuttered.

"Please don't say girlfriend." He looked down.

"Roommate." I said and he sighed.

"Wait is he?" Ricky asked.

I understood what he meant, "yeah."

"What's going on?" Jc walked in.

"Nothing." Ricky said.

"Wait, do they know?" Ricky asked.

"No." Sam answered before I could.

"Not even." He gestured to Kian.

Sam lowered his head into his hands showing that the answer was a no.

"What don't I know?" Kian seemed confused.

Sam looked over at me, knowing him he was asking if he should tell, "you don't have too, you can if you want."

"That him and I dated for two and a half years, lived together, and uh that's all you need to know really."

Everyone got quiet and shifted in their seats, "what do you guys have a problem?" Connor said standing up.

"It's kind of weird." One said.

"Weird? Weird? You think love is weird? How silly is that. If anything your thought is weird! I think it's adorable and sweet! We all have been friends forever and you can't possible treat him different now that you know he likes boys. It doesn't matter anyway." Connor is standing now.

"Yeah really I'm with Connor! It's about the thought of happiness and I know how happy Ly..." Ricky stopped himself.

That got everyone's attention, "what?" Jc wondered.

Just as Ricky was trying to speak out of his wordless month Sam cut off his trail of silence, "can I explain who Lyra is to me?"

I nodded, "then Jc can go next." 

We all sat back down, collected ourselves, and listened as Sam told his tale.

(Flashback)

*Sam*

Sams POV

"Someone moved into the old Carsons home." My mother said.

"Yeah?" I said taking a bite of an apple.

"Yeah!" She exclaimed.

"Let me guess you want me to go over there and introduce myself." I gave her my flakiest smile.

"I love you!" She called as she walked into the dining room.

"UGH!" I grabbed my shoes and slipped them on then pulled on a sweatshirt. I forgot it was summer and wasn't cold, it was pretty hot out.  I tugged my sweatshirt off and next thing I knew I had no shirt on, I put my sweatshirt on so I didn't have to put a shirt on. It is summer and I am a guy so it's fine I guess but not to greet new neighbors. I was walking down the street when a girl was penny boarding down the street.

"Hey!" She said stopping her board in front of me and feel into me knocking me down.

"I am so sorry!" She laughed as we laid in the middle of the road.

"Lyra!" Her mother called out.

She cleared her throat and got up, "Yes mother."

"Who's that?" She began to come closer.

"Who are you?" She looked down at me and helped me up.

"My names Sam." 

"Well I'm Lyra." She smiled.

"And I'm her mother." She broke our handshake.

"Mother relax I was pennyboarding and fell." Her mother made a gesture to me.

"He went to catch me but we both kind of failed." 

"I was actually coming over to introduce myself to you guys but I met her first." I gave her a little smile.

"Well there, you met the family." She put her hands on her hips then walked away.

(Reality)

Trevors POV

"At that point we clicked and everyday we laughed, talked, chilled, and after I got my feeling for her I introduced her to Kian, which you already heard about. Everyday we talked even when she went to a camp in Texas. Oh how I missed her! We knew everything about each other, except I didn't know this," he motioned around the room, "and she didn't know this." He motioned between Trevor and himself.

"Interrupting for a moment yu all know how we meet. It was at a camp in Texas for three months. Her cabin right next to mine and the second day we were there she pushed me into the lake. We knew after that we would be amazing friends and we did." Jc said after Sam finished his flashback.

"She loves you all so much I know it and the fact that she brought you all together is even better. Its just amazing that you all are here for her." Her mother was standing in the doorway.

"How long have you been there?" Connor asked.

"When you began your flashback. They called me a billion times and when I heard the voicemall I dropped everything and drove down here." She said taking a seat next to Ricky.

"Excuse me?" A nurse walked in with glossy eyes, "are you the mother?"

"Yes." She stood back up.

Everyone's eyes became glossy and everyone tried to silent their sniffles, "I'm sorry." The nurse looked down and said very quietly.
