Poseidon's POV:
The gods were all gathered in the throne room, eyes' glued on the screen. It was the time of the hunger games and we were watching the reaping a in each district. Hopefully, my only child, Percy, wouldn't be reaped.
" Shush, it's starting!" Dionysus whispered.
The reaping started with district one. As soon as the girl was called, Aphrodite wailed.
"No! " she cried as the girl, Glimmer, walked onstage.
That must of been one of her children.
"Looks like Clarrise," Ares muttered. ( A/N sorry, couldn't resist )
The reaping continued through out each district. One of Ares's boys were reaped for district 2. Hermes screamed when they did the reaping for district 5.
Finally, it was time for the district 12 reaping. " Annabeth Chase" Effie called.
I was shocked. That was the girl the Percy liked. Sadly, she was also Athena's daughter.
" WHAT!" Athena yelled in Fury. "Poseidon, this is all your fault!"
" How is this my fault?" I asked as Athena fumed.
Thankfully, another girl, a mortal, volunteered to take Annabeth's place.
Finally, it was time for the boy's reaping. I sat up strait in my throne and stared at the screen.
"Perseus Jackson" Effie announced.
All the gods turned to look at me. Oh no! I thought, Frozen on my throne.
My only son! Soon to be dead.
