World: Real Life

Red sat on the small couch he kept in his office. He held a script in his hands for the new reboot of roomates they were working on.

It was a normal day, basically. Almost lunch time, so him and some other people would go out to eat something.

"Hey, Red." Barney said, knocking on his open office door.

"Hey Barney." Red replied, smiling at him.

"How you liking the script so far?" Barney questioned.

"It's interesting." Red replied, setting the now closed script on his desk.

Barney smiled at that.

"Cool. Well we're gonna head out in a few... so mind if I stay in here till then?"

"Of course not." Red scooted over to make room for Barney on the small couch. He curled his legs so that his knees were touching his chest. Barney came over and sat down on Reds left.

"So how's your day going?"

"Fine, yours?"

"Just another day."

Red laughed quietly.

"What are we getting for lunch, anyway?"

"Knowing Adam," Red started. "Probably sushi."

"Makes sense." Barney said, rolling his eyes.

Red saw Barneys hand resting on the couch, and reached for it. Taking it in his own hand, he smiled.

He could see Barneys shoulders moving in a silent laugh.

"What? I like to hold your hand."

"I know. I like it too. It's just funny."

Red looked at him.

"Why's that?"

"Because your so cute when you do it."

Red blushed and looked away, now staring at the wall.

Moments passed, and the two he just talked. About videos they were doing that day, about what they wanted to eat. They just, talked.

"Hey, sorry to break up you lovebirds, but we're leaving now if you guys are ready."

They both looked over to see Adam at the doorway.

"Yeah, let me just grab my sweatshirt." Red said, getting up. He grabbed his sweatshirt and headed  over to the office door with Barney, catching up with everyone else.

They decided not to eat sushi today. Just some simple pizza instead.

It was nice, Preston, Adam, Quinton, Em, Red, Barney, Jordan and Julio all just sitting there and getting along like the friends they were.

Red looked up as Adam laughed really hard at something Preston said. Em and Barney were laughing at it too.

He shouldered Barney in the side to get his attention.

"Whats so funny?" He asked Barney teasingly.

"Just something Preston said."

"Do I want to know?"

"Probably not."

"Ok." Red laughed.

*Time Skip*

Red sighed as he left the office building. He had to stay late to work on something. Both Barney and Eren would most likely be asleep by the time he got home.

Good thing Adam stayed late, too. Barney wanted to stay as well so he could take both of them home when Red was done, but Adam offered to drive him back so Barney could leave at the right time.

It was almost 11, so maybe they'd still be up? Well, Barney at least, Eren was definitly asleep by now.

"Hey, thanks for driving me." Red said, getting into the passengers seat.

"No problem, dude. I just didn't want Barney to stay late when he didn't have to."

"Yeah." Red said, pulling out his phone.

R- Hey I'm almost home.

The reply came about a minute later.

B- K, see ya when you get here. Love ya
R- love you too

Red put his phone away, making small talk with Adam the rest of the way there.

When they arrived, Red unbuckled and stepped out onto the pavement.

"Thanks again." He said before closing the door.

"I told ya, it's no problem."

Red waved at him while walking up the driveway. He turned around and could hear Adam pulling away.

He walked inside, and saw Barney laying in bed with his phone, the only light in the room coming from his phone and the bedside lamp.

"Hey, Red."

"Hey. I'm just gonna change real quick."

"Ok." Barney said, looking back to whatever he was doing.

Red changed into more comfortable clothes and got under the covers next to Barney.

"What're you doing?"

"Just looking through instagram."

"Interesting."

"You wanna sleep? You've had a longer day than usual."

"Ugh yes."

Barney laughed, putting his phone on the charger and turning off the light.

He wrapped his arm around Red, who was curled up into his side.

"Love you, Red."

"I love you, too, Barney."

They both fell asleep not long after that.
