He fell off the small bed as he was suddenly awoken. Pushing himself off the floor, he looked up at someone standing in front of him. He felt around for his glasses a minute, putting them on once he found them.

He looked back at the person that had woken him up.

"Oh, good morning, Ashlie." Nick said, standing up.

"Morning," Ashlie replied. "Captain wants to see you in his quarters."

"What? Why?"

"Maybe it's because you're slacking off."

"How am I doing that?"

"You're still asleep."

Nick looked confused for a moment.

"Wait..." He trailed off. "What time is it?"

"Almost noon."

"Almost noon!? Ashlie, why didn't you wake me up earlier?!"

"I couldn't wake you up, you looked so peaceful."

"Ashlie!" The cabin boy stressed. He ran past her and up the stairs, to the main deck. Running out, he suddenly ran into somebody, causing him to stumble back.

Regaining his balance, he looked to see who he had ran into. It was the Captains first mate, Uni, who was also trying to stand up straight again.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Uni!"

"No big deal, Nick. Where are you off to in such a hurry, anyway?"

"The Captain wanted to see me, apparently. I'm kinda worried I might be in trouble."

"For what?"

"Well, I woke up late and-"

"Woke up late? Nah, you're not in trouble. Sleeping in isn't the worst thing, especially on this ship."

"You sure?"

"Absolutely."

"Then what could he want me for?"

"That I'm not sure. Better go and find out." Uni walked down the stairs. Nick kept walking to the Captains room.

Getting to the door, he hesitated before knocking. Once he did, there was a faint, 'come in' from the other side. He opened the door and walked in. The Captain was sitting at his desk, located in the center of the room.

"You wanted to see me?" Nick asked.

"Oh, Nick! Yes, yes, come in. Close the door behind you." Nick did.

He stood next to the door, waiting for the Captain to say something.

"You can sit down." The Captain said, gesturing to a chair across from his desk. Nick did.

"Did Ashlie just wake you up?" He asked.

"Uhh..." There's no use in lying. "Yes." He said back, a little ashamed. "I'm sorry, I'd didn't mean too, but nobody woke me up earlier, and I had a long night and-"

"What are you going on about? I'm not mad or anything."

"You're not?"

"No, of course not. That's not even why I brought you in here."

"Then, why am I here?"

Tommy smiled at him.

"I just enjoy your company, Nick. No big reason."
