Cory walked side by side with Uni, back to the Green place.

They had been gone a few months now, and decided it was time for a visit.

Climbing over one of the many hills that hid the little utopia, they could see the small base they had set up in the distance.

Cory smiled at it, it looked much more colorful now that it was fully built.

"Come on, Uni!" Cory said excitedly, practically running down the hill.

"Well your excited, huh?"

"Of course. I want to see how the three of them are doing!"

Uni laughed at him.

"Me too." He agreed, running after him.

They walked for a couple more minutes before arriving at the bases door.

They could spot Susan sleeping on the edge of the treeline before they walked in.

"Adam?! Dawn?! Nick?!" Cory called out.

"Cory?!" Adam asked, coming down the stairs. His face gained a look of surprise and excitement.

"Hey, dude!" Cory said, as Adam came up to him.

Dawn walked in, too.

"Hello, Cory. It's nice to see you again." Dawn replied in his usual calm voice.

"What've you been up to?" Adam asked, sitting on the table.

"We've just been exploring the wasteland. There's alot more towns out there than you think."

"I bet."

"Where's Nick?" Uni asked.

Adam frowned, then got a look of anger in his eyes.

"Hell should I know? He's gone."

"What?!" Cory said confused. "What happened?"

"We don't know. He just uped and left one day."

"But Susan's here." Uni stated.

"Yeah, he left her here."

"Nick wouldn't do that, he loves Susan!" Cory said astonished that Nick would just leave like that.

"Exactly."

"Why didn't you stop him?" Cory asked.

"We didn't know until it was too late! I woke up one morning to a note saying 'don't look for me'. Bastard left without saying goodbye."

Cory was silent for a moment.

"How longs he been gone?"

"Three, maybe four weeks."

"A month!?" Cory yelled.

"Yeah."

"And you really didn't look for him?"

"Where were we supposed to look? The Metropolis, that's half destroyed?!"

"We have to look for him!" Cory yelled.

"Go ahead, but I'm not coming with you."

"Adam-"

"No! I'm not risking my life again to look for him. If he wanted to come back, he would've by now."

"Well, it was great seeing you, but I'm going to look. Uni?"

"Of course I'm coming with."

"Cory, your really gonna do this?" Dawn asked, speaking up.
