Vanessa's POV

BEFORE my uncle caught me, I immediately sat on the couch "Vanessa?" I looked at him confidently

"Yes, uncle?" I can feel my sweat on my forehead falling

"I thought you were in your room," he sat beside me "How's my niece's sleep?" He smiled

"It's fine," I answered while looking at the television "Uncle?"

'Have to change the topic, uncle. Sorry 'bout that.'

"Yes?"

"What are your plans today?" You cannot stay here, uncle!

His forehead knotted "Ang totoo hindi 'ko alam," he crossed his arms "What should I do? Would you like to suggest some—"

"You can play golf!" I cut him off "—or visit the our organization."

Uncle looked at me weirdly "T-that's a great idea, what's wrong with that?" I asked

"I'm just wondering . . ." he examined me from head to toe

"—are you hungry?"

Damn, I thought he caught me! "Not really." I answered, well that's the truth. Hoodie guy fed me last night

"So, uncle?" I tried to get his attention "Will you play golf today?"

"That's a great idea to stretch my bones," we both chuckle "That would be good, golf it is."

I smiled widely, I guess this day is for me.

WHEN I was the one who's left here in the mansion, I entered Cathy's room and there I saw Jaime and Cathy sleeping.

They are both sleeping as if they've been drinking alcoholic drinks everyday.

I shooked my head with that. I walked closer to Cathy's bed and fixed their comforter. I even remove the remotes and their phones on the bed that might fall on the floor.

"Naughty ladies." I couldn't help not say as I turn my back.

Exactly as I turn my back, a maid appeared in front of the door "Yes?" I used my cold tone "What do you want?"

"Good m-morning, Queen." She bowed her head "Someone came h-here and h-he's waiting for you outside."

My right eyebrow raised, "Could it be that hoodie guy?" I mumbled

'There's a big chance that he's here!'

Out of nowhere, I feel excited and happy at the same time. I didn't mind if my slippers are making noise while walking downstairs because all I need is to see him!

But hell, why am I feeling this?

I was stunned with that. Yes, why am I doing this and feeling this kind of shit?

I rolled my eyes.

'Stop acting like that Vanessa, as if you hate it when you see him. Tss.'

I walked outside of my mansion and was about to greet him with a big smile on my face but all of my happiness and excitement suddenly disappeared

"What are . . ." how dare he come here?!

"L-let me explain," he begged

I clenched my fist "Didn't I warn you already?" My voice echoed

"I know but—!"

"Leave my friend alone!" I shouted as the guards came in front of me "You would not love to see yourself drowning in flame, Charles Miller!"

He shooked his head "I am not here to argue with you, Vanessa!"

"Don't call me Vanessa, bastard." I said "You have no right to disrespect the Queen!"

"I am here to," he said ignoring what I told "—I am here to ask your permission."

"Queen," a guard whispers "Should we throw him out?"

"No," I said without looking at him "What did you say, Miller?"

"I want to," he sighed "Get Jaime away from this mess."

A silence came but it was broke by a powerful me "Wow, just wow!" I even clapped my hands and walk near him

"Are you trying to make me laugh, Charles Miller?" I crossed my arms "Because it's fuckin' effective."

"I am not," he seriously said "I don't want Eric Pires to brainwash her, he might come here anytime!"

"No!" I shouted and say "He won't do things like that!"

"Are you defending him, huh?" His forehead knotted "You will choose him than your friend?"

"Shut the fuck up, Charles!"

"All I want is to make her safe! Why can't you let me do this?!"

"I know that this is damn fast but I don't care! I knew that I love her from the beginning—"

"Just like Niana?" I cut him off "Are you going to use my friend, huh?" My body is trembling in so much anger

"W-what do you m-mean?"

"You're asking for my permission and my answer is no." I answered directly "Throw him out, right away."

I turned my back but he kept shouting my name, begging and crying.

Before I completely enter the main door, a smirk appeared on my face.
