Vanessa's POV

"ARE YOU feeling better now?" I asked as I sat on a wooden chair near his bed

These past few weeks, he did not bother to talk. All he did was to cry in pain and shriek whenever he feels the pain.

He nodded at me "V-vannie?" I was stunned. Did he just speak?! "V-vannie, sorry . . ."

Eric's voice was soft, it's not like his real voice "H-hindi naman 'to mangyayari k-kung hindi dahil s-sa'kin."

I saw the tears on the side of his eyes "Eric, none of these—"

"S-sorry, Vannie." He held my hand tightly, "Patawarin m-mo 'ko," he begged

My eyes looked away, I couldn't keep myself look at him in this kind of situation "T-totoo Vannie ang lahat ng s-sinabi 'ko sayo noon, m-maniwala ka." He whispers

"Kahit k-kailan 'man ay hindi ako n-nagsinungaling sa'yo."

"I know, Eric." I gazed at him "But why did you—disappeared just like that?" I asked as if I'm gonna cry "Do you know how worried and alone I was? I needed you!"

I almost cry "S-sorry."

"S-sinaktan nila 'ko, Vannie." He told me "Papatayin ka d-daw nila kapag hindi a-ako sumama sa kanila."

"Who," I clenched my fist "Who are those bullshits? Tell me."

"Sila . . ." he exhaled "B-blue Queens."

'Fuck those punks.'

"How about those guns? Armors inside you room? What about those?" I asked "You've told that you don't know how to use any kind of weapons then wh—"

"Vannie, m-maniwala ka." He held my hand tighter than earlier "Wala l-lang ang mga 'yon. Ginamit 'ko 'yon upang makakuha ng mga k-kliyente."

"Ang buong a-akala 'ko, maiintindihan ni Jaime pero . . ." he looked away and chuckled softly "Nagkamali ako."

"She was shocked about it, Eric. Even me!" I told him "And also, why were you avoiding me before? Hellacious were having fun in your property yet you weren't there when we—I needed you!"

He flinched "May g-grupo ng kalalakihan ang nanakot sa'kin, V-vannie."

"—kinailangan 'kong layuan kayo dahil p-papatayin nila kayo, si Jaime."

"Ikaw."

"Plinano 'ko ang l-lahat, ang iparamdam kay Jaime na h-hindi ko siya mahal, na n-niloko ko lang siya—kayo." I caressed my forehead

'Why am I so dumb to know all of these just now?! Fuck my life!'

"When I saw you . . . you ran away. What w-was that for?"

"Kinailangan 'ko Vannie. Kinailangan 'kong i-iwasan ka. Kinailangan 'kong pag isipin ka ng masama t-tungkol sa'kin."

I left a heavy sigh. I have to tell him what I feel right now.

"I believe in you Eric even in the first place. I know you would not do that because you know that I gave you my trust."

He nodded and smiled "But your n-necklace." I bit my lip "What a-about it?"

'He is not, Vanessa. He is not.'

"Ang k-kwintas 'kong may letrang E?" He asked, I nodded "N-nahanap 'ko 'yon sa drawer 'ko pero hindi ako ang may ari 'non."

"What if those group of men who barge to your house were the one who put that necklace inside your drawer?"

He smiled weakly and say "H-hindi 'ko alam, Vannie. Pero i-isa lang ang nasisiguro 'ko."

"—alagad sila nila Victoria Arden."

'I fuckin' knew it!'

"M-mahirap paniwalaan ako Vannie pero s-sinasabi 'ko sa'yo. H-hindi at kailan man ay h-hinding hindi kita ipagpapalit sa pera o sa isang p-posisyon."

My tears fell. I knew it—in the first place, Eric wasn't the suspect because he is the real victim.

Now that all of those bullshit who hurt and ruined my friend died. There's one more person I have to finish.

"When we saw each other in the Herishion, you told me something about him, right?"

His brows furrowed but it disappeared right away when he noticed my creepy smile. He nodded at me with that.

"Tell me, what's up with that shit?"

Later on, I saw his creepy smile.

'That's it, Eric.'

He cleared his throat and say "Alam 'ko k-kung nasaan siya."

I can't wait to finish his damn life! "Napagalaman 'ko din n-na may koneksyon sila ng Blue Queens."

"Let's stop talking about those blue shits." I stood up and my gun from my pocket "We should get ready now, Pires."

He slowly get up from the bed "T-tutulong ako!" He even raised his hand as I grin

'Be ready for my revenge, bastard.'

I STOPPED the engine of my car. I glanced at Eric who's wearing a headphone with his a bandage on his right hand.

Moments like this must be remebered. The moment wherein I've realized having a friend like Eric can make you feel you're with your family

As the Mafia Queen, I am damn thankful because of Eric. Even if we lost communication before—I have this feeling that I must protect him.

Weird isn't it?

He noticed that I was looking at him, he removed his headphones and say "Andito na tayo?" His eyes roamed around "Van—"

I chuckled when I saw his pouty lips "Bakit ganyan ka makatingin?" He asked like a baby

"I was just . . . thinking of something." I smiled "Anyways,"

I opened the dashboard in front of him, "See these?"

"Vannie naman, tinatanong pa ba 'yan?" I rolled my eyes—now I know that he's feeling well already.

"Tss. You're dumb and I'm afraid that you might not protect yourself because of your useless body." I insulted him

"Grabe 'ka naman sa'kin Vannie." He pouts "Tsaka hindi ako marunong niyan!"

I get one of my guns inside the dashboard and pulled the trigger of it "Just like that." I glanced on him and my face was unpredictable

"Why are you covering you ears?" I curiously asked

"Natatakot ako!" I rolled my eyes. Such a coward guy! "Baka mamaya may dumating dito, nagpaputok ka e!"

I laughed "Silencer, brother." I threw the gun on him that made him panic on his seat

"Putakte naman, Vannie! Dahan dahan naman!"

I grinned "Whatever, Pires." I opened the door of my car and get off. Before I close it, I looked at him.

"Just take care of yourself, Eric." I told him "—and keep your eyes on the laptop. Not on anywhere else."

He smiled and nodded as I closed the door. I sighed and clenched my fist "This will be your last night, Emperor."

I put both of my hands on the side of my hips and sashayed into his mansion.
