God I haven't updated in forever. I know, I'm so sorry! I will try and update at least monthly from now on.

Caroline was usually the little spoon. Klaus had trust issues and needed to feel some type of empowerment, dominance, even. That was until one night, when Caroline noticed her boyfriend acting weird.

She laid against his chest, his arms tucked around her as they watched a movie on the couch. Things had been stressful recently, leading to lots of fights and lots of times where one had to sleep on the couch.

"You okay?" Caroline asked Klaus, looking up and taking his hand in hers. He tensed, but gave her a fake smile.

"Fine, love," he kissed her head, and his eyes simply returned back to the screen. She held onto his hand, rubbing her thumb against his. Caroline knew Klaus. She knew his mind and the way he thought- and she knew when he lied. She decided to ignore it and turned back to the movie, not wanting to usher him into telling her anything if he didn't want to. That's what usually led to their fights anyways.

A scene came up, where the girl and guy kissed, smiling afterwards. The guy tucked a piece of hair behind the girl's ear, and kissed her forehead. Then Klaus did it again, he tensed up. Caroline sighed, pausing the movie and sitting up, her eyes staring into his.

"Klaus, what's wrong?" She asked again.

"Why do you keep asking that? Nothing's wrong, Caroline," Klaus rolled his eyes in a childish way. Caroline frowned, mad that her boyfriend was not communicating with her.

"You keep tensing whenever a scene with the boy and girl comes up! Don't make me ask again, what's wrong?" She demanded in a more forward tone. Klaus finally gave in, heaving a dramatic sigh.

"I don't know... I just... recently, I've been feeling like I could lose you at any second. Like you'll leave me and never return like everyone always does," the adorable pout on her boyfriend's face was enough to make her awe. She knew he didn't like to share his feelings. Instead he gave witty comebacks and fake smiles to hide the pain.

"Couples fight. It's normal to have a few bumps in the road. I want you to know, no matter what happens, I will never leave you Klaus Mikaelson," Caroline grins, kissing his lips, and then the top of his head. He looked up at her.

"Do you promise?" He asked. Caroline giggled, not able to help see the resemblance of Klaus and a small child at this moment.

"Of course. I love you," she pulled him up, and he furrowed his eyebrows.

"What're you doing?" Klaus asked, pushing back strands of curls which had fallen in his face.

"Come here," she ordered her boyfriend, once laying back down, to get in front of her. He hesitantly laid down in front of her, feeling a bit weird since he was usually the big spoon. However, it was comforting being in someone's arms. It made him feel safe.

Caroline wrapped her arms around her boyfriend's torso, pulling him into her. She peppered his neck and back with kisses, and he hummed in response, enjoying the affection. She un-paused the movie, running her hands through Klaus's blonde curls, attempting to calm him.

The movie went on for another hour before the credits rolled out, and she smiled, hearing her boyfriend's soft snores. She turned the movie off, pulled up a blanket, kissed his head, and fell asleep.

Remember to vote and comment! Love you guys. (I actually really like the idea of Klaus being a little spoon. He's such a lil bean and adorable and needs love.)
