Request: Getting Approval

This is a request by @CrystalxHale :) I hope it lived up to your expectations! I also added a lot to it because once I started I couldn't stop! :)

Prompt:
Caroline had just started dating Klaus, and it is time for her to tell her friends about their little relationship. Damon doesn't take things too well and out of anger, attacks Caroline. But Caroline's dating the oldest vampire alive and he doesn't let things slide easily.

Caroline Forbes's hands trembled nervously against her lap as she attempted to calm her nerves by listening to the faint radio in the background.

"It'll be fine, love," Klaus's soothing voice rang through her ears.

"No it won't Klaus. They'll hate me forever for dating someone like you."

"Thanks," Klaus chuckles. Caroline rolls her eyes dramatically, taking his hand in hers.

"I didn't mean it like that and you know it. I'm just freaking out!" her voice raises as the car pulls up to the Salvatore mansion where Caroline has frantically group messaged everyone to meet up because it was an "emergency".

"Calm down Caroline," Klaus lowers his voice, placing a hand on her thigh. He gently rubbed in a soothing motion as the young vampire sighed, nodding and gently closing her eyes to take it all in. This was her life now. She just had to be straight up about it.

"Okay," she sighed. The pair got out of the vehicle and entered the house. Damon, Stefan, Elena, Matt, Tyler, and Bonnie all glanced up at the two nervous eyes, surprise written all over their faces.

"Why the hell is he here?" Tyler seethed as he rose to his feet, meeting Klaus's height. Klaus easily stood his ground. Now dating Caroline, he had to follow her rules and respect that Tyler was special to her.

"I have something to say," Caroline placed a hand against Tyler's chest, gently pushing him back down to the couch. He growled at the hybrid, eyeing him cautiously. A large feeling of guilt bubbled in Caroline's heart. Klaus has done terrible stuff to everyone and she was stupid enough to fall for him.

No. She shouldn't be saying that. He may have made terrible decisions but she knew him. She knew he was good. He was caring and loving and yes a bit overprotective but only for the ones he loved. He didn't show that side often.

"What, blondie? What is so important you had to invite that bastard who killed too many people to name into my house?" Damon asked. Klaus tensed and Caroline could sense it. He was trying to hold back on ripping out Damon's throat and walking out right then and there.

"K-Klaus and I, we're... We're..."

"Don't even say it. Don't you dare say what I think you're going to Caroline."

"We're dating," she finally gained the courage to say it. A large silence filled the room. Tyler got up immediately and stormed out of the room, the anger fuming off of him. He shut the door with a loud slam to add to his dramatic exit.

Caroline flinched at the noise and Klaus took her hand in his. She was thankful for his support, but couldn't be more frightened in her life. No one was speaking. No one knew what to speak of.

"AH!" Damon suddenly screamed out in anger, taking a nearby vase and chucking it at the couple. Luckily, the both of them had good reflexes and ducked in time.
