#28 Jasmine~Christmas in the City

You walk down the busy New York streets, wrapping your jacket tighter around you. You finally reach the warmth of the theater and set your bag down. Your girlfriend laughs at your disheveled appearance. "I told you to get up."

You grumble and stick your tongue out at her, causing her to laugh harder. You pout. "Give me a hug. I'm cold."

She immediately engulfs you in a hug. You smile and rest your head on her shoulder. It's all so perfect.

The cast wasn't performing today, but they decided that they would have a Christmas party. You were a member of the ensemble. That's how you and Jas met. As soon as she joined at the Public, you clicked. The two of you were inseparable. It was only a matter of time before you asked her out. The party is cut short because Lin wanted to spend time with his son, not that you could fault him. After he leaves, the cast slowly starts to wish happy holidays as they, too, leave.

You and Jas are the only two left when she asks what you want to do.

"Let's walk around the city," you suggest. This was your first Christmas in the city, and you wanted to make the most of it.

She smiles and grabs your hand. She shows you all of her favorite spots before stopping at a cafe near your apartment. She orders hot chocolate for the two of you, while you grab a seat near the window. She comes over with the drinks in her hands and sits next to you. "Did you enjoy yourself?"

You nod and sip the drink.

"What was your favorite part?"

"Being with you."

She giggles. "You're so cheesy."

"But you love me."

"I do. I really do."
