Quick headcanons/one-shots of the men of Hamilton as fathers. (This is gonna be long). All modern AU.

Alexander Hamilton:

"Alex, I, um, I need to talk to you," you start nervously.

He closes his laptop and looks up at you. "What is it?"

You wring your hands. "I'm pregnant," you mutter.

"You're what?" You can't read his face.

"I'm pregnant," you say, louder this time.

He stays quiet for a few minutes before standing up.

"Alex, please say something."

He smiles and bends down to kiss your stomach. "Hi, baby."

Aaron Burr:

You had been gone for the last week because of work and had to miss your daughter's preschool graduation. You hated yourself for it, but you knew there was nothing that you could have done about it. You thought that the least you could do is come home a day early.

You told Aaron that you would be home early and that you wanted to surprise your daughter.

Slowly, you push open the front door and drag your suitcase up to your bedroom. When you open your bedroom door, you see your husband and daughter watching The Princess and the Frog

"Hey, guys," you call from the door, causing the two to turn to you. "Mommy!" your daughter yells as she jumps up to hug you. You giggle and pick her up. "I missed you." You kiss her forehead before carrying her back to the bed.

"Did you and daddy have fun while I was gone?"

She smiles and stands on the bed. "Daddy took me to the zoo and got me ice cream after school! And we saw the ellie-phants. They are so big! We also saw the horses with the big necks-giraffes!"

You smile and listen to her tell you about how much fun she had until she falls asleep between you and Aaron. You both smile and kiss the top of her head. Aaron picks her up and carries her across the hall to her room. You change into one of his old t-shirts and a pair of pajama pants, while you wait for him to come back.

"She really missed you," he whispers, climbing into bed with you.

"Well, it's a good thing her wonderful father was here for her."

John Laurens:

You never thought that you would ever be able to move past the day your husband left you. He walked out on you and your then four-year-old daughter almost ten years ago. You vowed to never let another man like that into your life.

That was until John walked into your life. You never expected to fall in love with the man who came into the diner every morning at opening and ordered a black coffee and an egg and chicken biscuit.

Now, almost three years after he asked you out, the two of you are planning your wedding. You rest your head on his shoulder and sigh. "Are we done yet?"

He laughs. "We haven't even settled on seating."

You groan and look at your daughter, who is on her phone. "Maya?"

She pulls out her earbuds. "Yeah."

"Can we talk?"

She nods and follows you to the kitchen. "Are you sure you're okay with John and me getting married?"

She responds, "Of course. I really like him."

"Really?" You smile.

"Yeah. He's always there, and I guess he's kinda become my dad."
