Ryland's POV
I walked into the room checking behind me to make sure Shane wasn't there I was a mess
I grabbed my phone and went to my text messages and entered my dad's number it's been over 15 years
I knew he couldn't awnser but I texted him anyway
"Dad I miss you I love you so much do you miss me???"I text
This just made me cry more
"I miss you daddy I wish you were still here me and my boyfriend are getting married I wish you could walk me down the aisle"I texted
I was sobbing by now
I put a pillow over my face and just cried
Then the flashbacks started

I was sitting in class just a normal early Tuesday morning I was tired but I did my math equations then the loudspeaker went off
"Hello students I'd like to inform you all that today September 11th 2001 new York is under attack the world trade center has been hit please stay inside the classrooms for safety,thank you"the office lady said
My heart stopped my dad had to go to the world trade center for work
The teacher turned on the class TV and put on the news and they talked about it
The north tower where my dad was working was nothing but rubble
That's when I knew he was gone

I still had the pillow over my face when there was a knock on the door
"Baby can I come in"Shane's voice said softly
"Yeah"I cried
Became in and picked me up in his arms and hugged me
"Everything is gonna be okay"he said softly into my ear as my tears fell down his neck one by one softly but fast...
