Shane's POV
I had gotten up to go get ryland and I some coffee and i was now coming back down the bright red carpeted hall with cream white walls covered in mini lights covered in gray metal
I opened the door to find ryland talking to somebody on his phone
"No he'll be out for a bit tonight getting dinner so i get you all to myself"he said biting his lip slightly
I quietly closed the door as i stood there in confusion thinking maybe he was just talking to a friend and joking
"No it's fine he won't know babty"he stated
That one word felt like ten million swords stabbed into my back
That was our thing
I felt the tears running doen my face
How could somebody i love so much do this to me
"What the fuck ryland"i said putting the two cups down
He hung up the phone and looked at me
"H-how much did you hear"he asked
"Too much"i said before storming out and going down th hall never wanting to come back to that but to him
i wanted nothing more than to just run my hand through his soft hair while we watch a horror movie and he snuggled close to me because he was afraid to kiss his soft lips holding his hand tight and passionately
I closed my eyes tight as i sat against a wall
I clenched my hands in fists not in anger but in stress
Did i do something?
Am i not good enough?
Does he love me?
Does he hate me?
My thoughts and tears raced like opponents in a race but where tied
I pushed my feet hard to the floor and my hands too leaving carpet burns but i didnt care
I thought and thought as i closed my eyes again but when i opened then i was grrated with a gasp from myself i was in bed with ryland on my chest
It was all a dream...
I moved one arm under him and moved his body off me so i could hug him
I glazed my hands through his hair softly and kissed his forehead before laying my head down on the pillow again
I was so incredibly lucky to find love like this
"Goodnight babty"i whispered before drifting off to sleep again with ryland right next to me
The way it was supposed to be...
