"the rest is homework!" mr. kyun ended the lesson like that, making half of the students sigh in sync, while the other half cheered because they had already finished the exercises.youngjae stuffed his belongings in his bag and jaebum did the same.
"hey, thanks again for helping me." jaebum said as they walked out of the room. "my friend's throwing a party tonight, are you coming?"
youngjae laughed kinda mockingly, shaking his head.
"yeah, no thanks. goodbye." he said and walked off, passing jinyoung and jackson who were wiggling their eyebrows at jaebum.
"so, how did it go?" jinyoung asked eagerly.
"good, i guess." jaebum still looked after youngjae who was long gone, not understanding the younger boy's reaction to his previous question.
who would say no to a legendary jinsonbum (yes, jackson came up with that ridiculous name in freshman year and jaebum hated it but somehow it had naturalized over time) friday night party?
was it because youngjae didn't like parties, or didn't he like jaebum? but how could anyone not like him?
"details maybe?" they were walking to their second class which was english literature.
"he helped me with math." jaebum shrugged, not being interested in talking about it any further.
"wait, that's it?" jinyoung asked but jackson interrupted him quickly.
"no, that's good. you suck at math, he could tutor you."
he definitely could, but jaebum doubted that he would.
the fact that youngjae was so uninterested in him made jaebum want to stick to their plan even more. not necessarily because of the scholarships, that was just a bonus.
but he wanted to know why youngjae didn't like him and he wanted to prove to himself that he could change that.
