"i'm not really into soccer."

"huh?" jaebum had been torn out of his thoughts by youngjae's voice.
youngjae, the boy whose hand he had been holding for what felt like an eternity, and he didn't want to let go of it for another eternity.

"i mean, i don't really know much about messi, or anything to be fair, but fact is he looks much better with short hair."

youngjae was still looking up at the sky, his lips slightly parted and even though jaebum's hand was starting to get a little sweaty, the younger didn't seem to mind.
he was holding onto jaebum's hand as if his life depended on it.

"m-messi?"

"yeah." now youngjae's eyes met jaebum's.
"i mean now i know you were flirting with me, but i still wanted to give you an answer."
the younger chuckled when he noticed how flustered jaebum got.

"i wasn't- flirting.. just trying to start a conversation and be nice and stuff..."

"are you still just trying to be nice by holding my hand for half an hour?"

youngjae couldn't help but enjoy teasing jaebum because the older who usually seemed so confident and cool was in reality an awkward dork, and a really cute one as well.

"no- i mean, yeah i'm trying to be nice but i'm also flir- i mean- i-"
jaebum sighed. "i'm such a loser."

"a cute loser." youngjae admitted out loud by accident. now it was his turn to blush, but thanks to the night sky it wasn't too noticable.

jaebum couldn't hide a smile when he looked at the younger and neither could youngjae when their faces moved closer very carefully.

their hands were still interlocked, their noses only an inch apart, and when he could feel youngjae's hot vodka-scented breath against his face, jaebum realized how little of a problem it would be for him to kiss a boy. especially this boy.

everything felt like slow motion and the boys were finally closing their eyes when their lips were almost touching, a hair could fit in the space between them at most.

jaebum was ready. he was ready to kiss this boy and he was ready to deal with his friends teasing him later on. and so was-

"yOUNGJAE!"
