Chapter 2: Nature of the Flying Thundergod

Naruto woke in a very familiar chair, the one in his favorite person's office. Often times he would get into trouble just to see the person that is nicest to him, other than Teuchi and Ayame now. "Jiji!"

The man he was talking to chuckled in a grandfatherly tone. "It is good to see you Naruto. Happy birthday, I meant to tell you yesterday, but your apartment was...empty. I'll give you your gift but Teuchi-san here has brought something to my attention that needs to be addressed immediately."

"Oh... am I in trouble?" Naruto asked sadly, getting a hearty laugh from the hokage.

The hokage set his pipe down and sighed. "Teuchi says he saw you using a very particular power, called the Hiraishin, a stage of it anyway."

"Hiraishin?" Naruto asked, getting a nod.

"Yes. It is technically a kekkei-genkai. It-"

Naruto interupted. "Keeky-what?"

Hiruzen smiled. "Kekkei-genkai. Or bloodline limit. Normally it's a justsu only usable by you and your family, but yours is different. Others can learn it but require huge amounts of chakra and can only go directly to these." He held up a trip pronged kunai. "Anything marked with its seal anyway. You ,on the other hand, will be able to appear anywhere within a certain distance around yourself, usually about forty to fifty feet. These kunai allow you to go to them no matter how far you are away. I'd thought I'd collected them all in case you ever discovered the ability, but it seems I was mistaken. "

Naruto looked at his hands. "You mean I'm... weird?"

"Yes, but that's one of the reasons you're such a special boy. Your father got a watered down version of the ability due to complications with his child birth. He was able to transport to the seals easily, but couldn't do the closer jumps." Hiruzen held a hand up as Naruto's face lit up. "Yes I will tell you... but right now you are too young for the information. Your father made a terrible amount of enemies, I don't want them coming after you, so as a favor to me... don't use this ability unless you absolutely have to, it'll tip off anyone who sees it."

Naruto pouted. "But it's so cool! Look!" He vanished and reappeared directly in front of Hiruzen's desk and beside Teuchi.

"I understand that, Naruto-kun... but it's just until you're a genin. Or training in a special facility that is made just for people like you." Hiruzen begged.

Then Teuchi spoke up. "Um... Hokage-sama. You said he was using a stage of the Hiraishin, am I to understand he's using all of it?"

Hiruzen smirked. "You would make a good councilman, Teuchi. Yes. Hiraishin isn't just teleportation. The user can actually learn to bend time space around themselves if they have the chakra...and Naruto will most certainly have the chakra as an adult."

"I will? How do you know?" Naruto asked, curiously.

That made the adults in the room nearly choke as they all stammered before Hiruzen spoke up. "It's part of the bloodline." That was actually a lie, Minato had the chakra but his bloodline was malformed, other than him, only two Namikaze in history ever learned the dangerous power.

Naruto grinned. "Oh yeah, I'm awesome!"

The weeks went by and Naruto had been keeping up with his promise, though now that he knew what he could do, everything seemed... slow.

On his way to the Acadamy he heard the voices of kids laughing a yelling, a normal occur occurance he almost ignored, but then he heard the faintest whisper. "...P-Please...stop..."

Naruto stood stock still for a single moment, a feeling of cold fury enveloping him. He'd begged exactly like that and he only saved himself because of his power, whoever was begging didn't have that power.

Then he sprinted towards the sound. When he arrived he saw three boys picking on a girl his age. The boys were around eleven or so and one was trying to shove the girl's face in the snow.

Naruto yelled. "Let her go!" Two of the boys charged him, but he'd been taking taijutsu lessons from the anbu he'd met a couple of weeks beforehand, and while he wasn't great his reflexes and quickness gave him an edge.

Naruto slapped the first boy's hands away as he tried to grab the young blonde, then punched his armpit and kneed him in the groin, taking a glancing blow from the other boy.

Naruto let the first boy drop to the snow and walked towards the second, catching his punch and using the momentum to throw him over his back and into the snow roughly.

The third boy began backing away. "Woah man, wait, can we um-uggh!" Naruto kicked him in the chest, sending him sprawling.

The boy coughed as he sat up. "My parents were right! You are a damn dirty demon!"

Naruto's eyes widened and he saw flashes in his mind of everytime he got called a demon. Tears welled in his eyes and he fell to his knees, looking at the snow but not seeing anything.

The boy laughed as he jumped to his feet and tried to sucker punch the blonde, only for him to be blown back even harder and the wind to be knocked from his chest.  The girl didn't say a word as she dropped into a taijutsu stance.

Naruto looked up. "W-what are you doing? He's right...I'm a demon..."

"No you're not. A demon w-wouldn't try to save someone, demons wouldn't be hurt by being called that, and besides... " She looked back and smiled nervously. "Demons don't have friends, I would very much like to be your friend..." Then the surge of courage ended and she began stuttering like normal. "Th-That is... um... if you w-want to."

Naruto wiped his tears and smiled. He almost said 'Hell yeah!' But he thought about what Dog had said about talking politely to girls. "I'd love to. I'm Naruto Uzumaki."

Her face began to turn a cute shade of pink. "Hinata H-Hyuuga."

"Hinata-sama!" A voice called out from the distance. The three bullies got up and high tailed it out, an adult was coming.

Hinata sighed. "My c-caretaker, Ko, is coming. He'll likely f-force me to come ho-home."

"What are you doing to Hinata-sama?!?!"

Naruto touched her sleeve. "I'm gonna come here everyday for the next week, come see me when you get away?" She nodded and Naruto turned and sprinted away.
