Naruto the Flying Thunder God

battle on the bridge

(I know I'm skipping with the bridge stuff but we've all read the Wave arc a million damn times, so I'm showing only the parts that are different.)

Naruto and Hinata stood back to back in a dome of ice mirrors. He couldn't teleport to dodge the needles because then they would hit Hinata, and he couldn't teleport Hinata out because then Haku would have a clear shot at Sasuke and Tazuna. He was caught between a rock and a hard place.

Naruto blocked the needles he could, even taking some of the hits that would've otherwise hit Hinata.

Hinata breathed out heavily. This fight was too much, she was holding Naruto back.

Her byakugan let her see in nearly 360 degrees around her body, in perfect clarity, chakra, through walls, over long distance, and with enhanced perception...but she was too slow.

Needles slammed into her, even with Naruto blocking them she was taking too many.

Then it happened. A pair of needles hit Hinata in the throat. Another hit her between the eyes.

Naruto felt her fall behind him and everything stopped. His eyes widened, Hinata was frozen mid fall, blood hanging in the air, unable to move.

Time had stopped for everything but Naruto.

"You actually unlocked our time power..."

Naruto turned to see Minato Namikaze beside him.

"Y-Yondaime...uh...dad... I... His heart was heavy, his body and mind completely numb."

"Relax. She is dead, but with more power you can save her. Focus, force things to go back." Minato told him.

Naruto closed his eyes, imagining a clock ticking normally and stopping, then making the clock tick the other way. Each half a second took a huge amount of chakra and when he felt his body give he opened his eyes.

The needles were now a foot in front of Hinata and she was standing up, still frozen.

Minato smiled. "Very good. Take out the enemy ninja, but remember, moving while time is frozen will burn through your reserves and possibly damage your bloodline."

Naruto nodded, then took a step. The sheer strain of moving after reversing time and now moving through frozen time made him dizzy.

"Don't give up, kid." Minato put a hand on the younger blonde's shoulder.

Naruto nodded, reaching inside himself for more power.

He slapped the needles away from Hinata and nearly collapsed.

Haku was frozen, just three feet away with more needles in his hand.

Naruto pulled a three pronged kunai from his pouch and jumped, running out of chakra. He landed on Haku, driving his three pronged kunai into the base of Haku's neck, just beneath the skull.

Naruto tumbled and rolled with Haku's dead body til he slammed into an ice mirror that was collapsing.

Naruto finally blacked out from chakra exhaustion.

Hinata blinked, she'd seen the needles heading for her, now they were gone and the mirrors were collapsing. Then she saw it. Naruto!

With her byakugan she could tell that Naruto had no chakra left and that the only thing keeping him alive was a ball of highly compressed orange chakra leaking a very small amount of chakra to him through a seal on Naruto s abdomen. Thank you, Kyuubi... please save him...

Hawk grinned as he looked in the mirror. He's gotten a haircut and shaved his beard off, finally looking like his old self. He put on his old jonin uniform and he smiled. The sleeves hid his chained Hawk seal perfectly.

Hawk was the curse of the Hyuuga clan. Every few hundred years they would have a Hyuuga born that would be less human and have more power. The genes from the first Hyuuga were incredibly recessive and it was extremely rare to have the power.

That made him dangerous.

He had powers men only ever dreamed of. Hell he had powers Kage themselves only ever dreamed of.

"I will have my freedom." He told himself.

Naruto opened his eyes, he was lying on a concrete floor with ankle deep water. In front of him a massive cage.

Stupid boy. You broke your kekkei genkai. You're lucky my chakra saved you. You barely retained the ability to teleport. You can't manipulate time anymore...at least until it heals if it ever does. A powerful voice sent ripples through the water.

Naruto stood. "Whoah, what?"

A giant fox with blood red eyes got close to the bars separating them. Are you deaf? I won't explain how broken you are again boy. You will see when you try to fight again.
