"Alright Naruto, the Hiraishin is a kekkei genkai combining three elements inside your body but it does so in an unusual way. Normally, wind, earth, fire, and lightning could only become a combination of the three things, but... your fire and lightning elements are fused together and then mixing with your wind and earth elements. The combination allows for a completely different type of energy known as Jikara. Jikara is space-time manipulation capable energy." Jiraiya told him. "Your body does this automatically. What i want you to take away from this is that you have four elemental affinities to choose from. You already know one wind jutsu, by the end of our time together I want you to know two more wind type, at least one earth type, and I'll help you hone your taijutsu and planning. Two weeks outta let us cover that, but if you surprise me I'll teach you the jutsu that made your dad famous."

Naruto nodded at that, currently he was standing a few feet away with no shoes or shirt on. "What are we starting with?"

"Wind. I've got two jutsu I think will serve you well. Wind spear, and Drilling air bullet. There are no signs for the Windspear, it's pure shape manipulation. If you can get the shape right you can use both Spear tip and throwing spear variants."

"What's the difference?" Naruto asked, referring to the spear tip and throwing spear.

Jiraiya held up a hand in the karate chop hand shape, then wind nature chakra surrounded it and he smiled. He pulled a kunai and chopped the kunai in half." The spear tip is for slicing at close range, throwing spear it medium to long range." He told him. "I can't do it in combat because I'm no good at wind techniques but it's powerful in the right hands."

Naruto nodded and began channeling chakra , trying to create a blade like Jiraiya had done.

After nearly an hour he thought he had the shape down so he walked over to a tree and tried to cut it with his hand.

"AH! KAMI DAMMIT!" He looked at his now very red hand and cursed. Then Naruto looked over at Jiraiya, who was writing notes in a yellow pad. "What am I doing wrong?"

Jiraiya chuckled. "Wind chakra isn't always used for blowing your enemies away. Imagine two currents moving in opposite directions and sharpening each other. Your son isn't to make a blade, not really... it's to make something even sharper."

"You couldn't have told me that an hour ago?" Asked an annoyed Naruto, still clutching his hand.

Jiraiya looked up at him. "I ain't gonna hold your hand kid, some things you gotta try first."

Naruto looked away, hurt. "Trust me, I know you'd never hold my hand..." Naruto whispered, Jiraiya heard it and he deflated a bit.

"Naruto, listen that's not what I meant I-..."

"It's fine." Naruto interrupted sharply. "I know not to expect much from you."

Naruto went back to working on the jutsu, incorporating the new information. It only took another hour to get the spear tip working.

Naruto smiled triumphantly and hit the tree again, this time his hand never even slowed down as it cut through easily. "Hell yeah..." Naruto breathed out.

"You just learned an A class jutsu in just over two hours, kid. You should be proud." Jiraiya walked over and handed him a popsicle.

Naruto raised an eyebrow. "Where are you keeping these?"

Jiraiya shrugged. "I could tell you were almost done so I sent a shadowclone to get them. Next step is Throwing spear. It's basically exactly what you just did, only longer, denser, and it will be above your palm like an actual spear. Got that?"

Naruto nodded, then looked at his still going wind spear. He moved the chakra, pushing it and stretching it to the shape he wanted, making Jiraiya's jaw drop. "Kid I might can teach you more than I thought..."

_____Two weeks later___________

Naruto stepped lightly as he walked towards the meeting spot for his teammates. He was a bit late from finally learning his newest technique.

When he arrived Hinata hugged him. "I missed you, Naruto-kun. Did you learn anything new?"

"I missed you too, Hina-chan. I learned a bunch, the old pervert may be a shitty godfather but he's a great sensei." Naruto replied.

Sasuke perked up. "You say godfather? Jiraiya of the Sannin is your godfather?"

Naruto nodded then burst out laughing. "That's right, I never told you. My parents were Kushina Uzumaki and Minato Namikaze, the fourth hokage."

Sasuke stared for a moment before face palming. "Kami, I'm an idiot. You look just like him and can teleport..."

Naruto cricket his neck. "Anyway, I'd like a spar, Sasuke. Like when we were in the academy."

Sasuke looked at him and showed off his fully matured sharingan. "I warn you done, no matter how fast you are you can't escape my sight."

Naruto nodded as Hinata walked away shaking her head. Boys will be boys...

"No lethal hits or permanent damage, got that Sasuke?" Naruto called as Sasuke dropped into a ready stance.

Sasuke smirked. "Aren't you going to get into your stance?"

"Why bother? It's not like I'll be here when the fight starts." Naruto laughed.

Sasuke nodded, he had a good point. When Naruto suddenly appeared beside him he would be panicked if not for his dealings with the blonde and sharingan slowing him down.

Sasuke caught Naruto's fist and redirected it away from him before throwing his knee up into Naruto's gut, knocking the air from his lungs.

Naruto vanished and then reappeared a dozen meters back. "Owwww. That kinda hurt. Try this." He slammed his foot down and a slab of rock raised in front of him, then the bottom of the rock shattered as the rock blasted off towards him.

Sasuke let the rock get close before jumping and using the rock to kick off of for even more height. He sped through handsigns and spit out a volley of fireballs that raced towards Naruto.

Naruto smirked and vanished, reappearing in front of Sasuke with the rock in tow. "What th-"

Naruto swung the rock as it was encompassed in a cloud of smoke, revealing a shadowclone using henge, and kicking Sasuke.

The clone dispelled as Naruto gathered chakra in his lungs and did the handsigns for his more nonlethal wind jutsu. Drilling Air Bullet!

The blast of compressed air slammed into Sasuke and hurled him into the dirt, only to be replaced by substitution. "Shit!"

Then he turned just in time to take a punch to his cheek from the Uchiha.

The blow stunned Naruto but Naruto held his hand back, gathering his chakra for his father's  signature jutsu.

"That's enough, boys, save your strength. The chunin exams are no joke." Kakashi was sitting by Hinata reading, Kami only knows for how long.
