Itachi sighed as they walked through the village gate. He had molded Naruto into a high chunin level Academy student. He was gifted, able to learn quickly by doing things and by reading, just like his father had been.

Naruto grew a bit too, having eaten much healthier on the road with Jiraiya. He had greater muscle tone, and he had blue pants and a long sleeved blue shirt on, when Naruto had asked why Itachi merely smirked, imagining the responses he'd get since he was the spitting image of the fourth hokage.

His new ward stayed by his side, opting for a brown cloak and green clothes underneath. He held a sword in his right hand, because of how deadly the swift release was on its own, let alone with a blade.

Naruto turned to Itachi. "Can I go?"

Itachi nodded. "Yes, I'll give the hokage a briefing. Just be sure to see him when you're done."

In and instant there was that familiar flicker and Naruto was gone.

Itachi smiled, thinking about everything Naruto did on their trip to help people when he wasn't training. The entire wave country thought they were heroes for the way he helped most recently.

Naruto appeared in a room he easily recognized, from his jumps to see Hinata. The room had white walls with black trim, hardwood floor with a large lavender rug covering most of the floor. A bed sat at the edge of the room, with a white pillow and lavender blankets. The shelves had a random assortment of books and his Hiraishin Kunai was on her desk.

Naruto smiled, seeing Hinata walk into the room. She had a black eye and was crying, as soon as she saw him she ran to him and buried her face in his shirt.

Naruto could feel something stirring inside him, like a caged lion waiting to be released(more like Fox, eh?).

He wrapped his arms around her. "Hinata, what happened?"

"I... I... I'm sorry Naruto-kun... the council has decided to brand me tomorrow... could we... could we run away together? They decided that... since I won't fight Hanabi-chan... that I'm weak and father has been out voted..." She sobbed heavily.

Naruto set her down on the bed, two shadow clones appearing beside him without any smoke, showing just how good his control is.

Then Naruto spoke. "Protect her. I'm going to have a conversation with this council."

Hinata tried to stop him. "No Naruto, you can't beat them, the byakugan let's them see chakra!"

"I'm actually counting on that. I met my jailer." Naruto then walked through the door and down the hall.

When he found the council room, he found the council berating Hiashi, who was on his knees begging them to not seal his daughter.

"Hyuuga Council. I'd like a word." Naruto teleported to directly beside Hiashi, who'd seen the flicker of light from the corner of his eye.

"The Hiraishin..." he whispered.

Naruto waited until all eyes were on him. "Do you all know who I am?"

One of the elder council members met his gaze. "We know you are an orphan and a jailer, boy. Why have you sought us out?"

Naruto looked at each of them coldly. "I think you'd like to know who my parents were, and exactly what your dealing with." Naruto clenched his fists. There was a flash and Naruto was standing directly in front of the head councilman. "My father was Minato Namikaze. I have the ninetails and the Hiraishin, I was trained by Itachi Uchiha... how much of a chance do you think the Hyuuga clan would stand against me?"

No one said a word, it was clear what would happen if they did anything to Hinata.

Then Naruto turned and began walking away. "I expect no harm to come to her." His cold tone was something he'd learned from Itachi while they were training.

Then he was gone.

Hiashi stood. "As much as I'd like to say we can't allow him to dictate what goes on in our clan, I think we should hold off on branding Hinata."

"Please, you were against your eldest being branded this entire time. Do you honestly believe we don't know this is just an excuse to get your way?"

Hiashi looked up at the elderly man who had spoken. "Do you think we could take on an angry jinchuriki armed with the Hiraishin?"

That was a question that the esteemed elders didn't need answered today. "Very well..."

Naruto appeared next to Hinata, who was sitting on her bed crying. "Hinata, do you trust me?"

She nodded and took his outstretched hand. "A-Always Naruto-kun..."

Naruto then used his bloodline, jumping them to another location. They reappeared at Teuchi's ramen stand.

"Get some food, then I'm gonna teach you a few things Itachi-sensei taught me."
