It'd been four years since Naruto met Hinata. They became fast friends and grew very close as time went by. Naruto still hid his ability to teleport, which weighed down on him.

Now they both were walking towards the Academy, for their first day. Naruto had been learning taijutsu and basic chakra control, and thanks to Naruto, Hinata had opened up and even stopped blushing.

Hinata had actually become extremely proficient in her clan's techniques, thanks to the confidence she now had. She could even fight Naruto to a standstill in their spars.

"Hinata, hello? Konoha to Hinata?"  Naruto snapped his fingers in front of her face, making her blink and apologize.

"Sorry Naruto-kun, I was up late last night with father." She smiled fondly at the blonde, he wore a black long sleeved shirt and red scarf she'd given him for his birthday with his orange pants and black shoes.

Naruto cast a look at her, feeling a pang of guilt. He'd yet to tell her about his later, he had to.

Once at the Academy he tried to pay attention in class, he really did, but the sensei was a dark haired man with a burn scar on his face that looked extremely familiar to the young blonde. He glared at Naruto and taunted him randomly in class, before outright yelling and throwing Naruto from the classroom.

Hours later, the sensei poked his head out the door. "We are going outside to practice the Academy taijutsu, care to join us?"

"Yes Tai-sensei..." Naruto mumbled quietly.

"Alright class. I wanna see what you're made of, so randomly I'll pick one of you to fight me to the best of your abilities. First up.... Uzumaki." Tai cracked his neck. "We fight until I say stop. Everyone back out of the ring."

They did so leaving Naruto with the chunin instructor inside the ring.

Naruto bent his knees and held his arms up in the basic horse stance.

Tai blurred forward, driving a massive punch into the young blonde's head and rocking him backward. Tai gripped a handful of Naruto's shirt and tossed him back to the middle of the ring.

Naruto pushed himself to his feet, despite the throbbing and spinning vision.

Tai went to kick Naruto but a dust cloud kicked up and Tai was blown out of it like a rag doll.

A much older boy of around sixteen or so, stood in front of Naruto. He had long black hair tied into a ponytail and black clothes with grey armor, a straight sword on his back, and a white anbu mask. The thing that mad him frightening though was that through the eye holes of the mask, you could see blood red eyes that seemed to glow and what looked like three extra pupils with small points surrounding the original pupil.

"Tai Urusachi, you have been charged with treason and are to be put to death." The man's voice was cold and hollow as he whipped out a kunai faster than the surrounding genin could see, hitting the man in the gut.

Then the man knelt in front of Tai, let's see if you know anything usefull." He gripped a handful of the man's hair and looked into his eyes. Then he cursed at whatever he'd seen when he looked into the man's eyes and ripped to kunai out and drove it into the man's skull.

The older boy turned to Naruto, the red in his eyes having faded to black. "Uzumaki Naruto. The hokage will need to speak with you. The rest of you... go home."

All of the kids but Naruto, Hinata, and Sasuke Uchiha scrambled to run home.

The boy looked at Sasuke and lifted his mask. "Foolish little brother. Go home, this is Shinobi business. You as well, Hyuuga heiress." Sasuke poured but began walking away, leaving Hinata looking at Naruto worriedly.

Naruto smiled sadly. "It's alright Hinata-chan, I'm pretty close with the old man."

Itachi placed his hand on Naruto's shoulder and they were gone, only displaced leaves where they once stood.

Hiruzen sighed at the young blonde in front of him. "I'm sorry it took so long to get to you, my boy... and thank you for not trying to fight using your bloodline."

Naruto nodded, still glaring at the floor. "They all hate me."

Itachi nodded. "Hokage-sama, may I make a suggestion?"

Hiruzen motioned for him to continue and Itachi knelt. "Let me train him. Being....what he is, the Academy can't train him properly. His time is wasted by being there, and that's if they ignore their biased to attempt teaching him. He will need more chakra control than most chunin have to perform the bunshin, his taijutsu is barely adequate and learning the Academy style is pointless, I can train him in ninjutsu, kenjutsu, genjutsu defense, and maybe fuuinjutsu. If you allow me to do this, I'll have him back graduation day stronger than any genin in that classroom."

Hiruzen looked at Naruto, who was staring at Itachi in shock. "How about that, Naruto-kun? Would you like to be trained by the strongest jonin Konoha has?"

"Hello yeah, old man!" Naruto beamed.

Itachi glanced up to the hokage. "Then... I have permission, correct?"

Hiruzen nodded. "Yes. Leave tomorrow at four in the afternoon. I expect great things from you both." He smiled grandfatherly at Naruto.

Naruto paused. "Uh...gives me time to pack, and I gotta say goodbye to Hinata!" With a flicker of yellow light he was gone, warping to the kunai in his apartment, and landing directly in front of a surprised Hinata.
