Harum // Hayes

I had travelling around the state for a day now. Still no sign of Hayley. It sucked that I couldn't ask around to see if they had seen her because I was a criminal myself & it would also start up another police search nationwide. I decided to be very attentive & be aware of my surroundings. Luckily nobody recognised me.

"I knew wearing a mask on every heist was a good idea," I thought as I rode.

I had just crossed the border into the next town over from where we resided. It was the last town before going into the next state.

"God I hope she's still in the state. I won't give up until I find her," I thought as I rode into central.

I looked around the stores & buildings & only saw people walking around mindlessly. They looked like they all had the life sucked out of them. That's why I loved the life I lived. It was always adventurous. You were never bored. But when Hayley left, I lost my sense of adventure. Maybe that's why I needed her so bad.

I rode into the suburbs of the town & came across many houses. I looked around. Car after car, house after house, people were just there. It was quite a quiet & boring neighbourhood. It was then I saw something that spurred my excitement.

Hayley's bike.

"It's gotta be her," I pulled onto the sidewalk & got off my bike. My heart began to race. I pulled my gun from under my seat & stuffed it in the back of my pants just in case. I walked up to the door & exhaled before I laid my fist on the black wood door to knock.

Hayley // Pistol

I was sitting on the carpet in front of the fire, wearing the same thin matte pink silk robe & I heard a knock on the door. I gripped my pistol tightly as I made my way to the door, my heart racing.

"Please don't be cops," I whispered as I closed my eyes. I reached for the doorknob & opened it & pulled my gun up only to see a gun starting back at me.

"Hayes?" I asked in relief.

"Hayley?" he had the same response.

"I'm so happy to see you," I groaned in relief as I dropped my pistol to hug him & he hugged me back tightly.

"How the hell did you get here?" he asked as he let go & looked at me.

"I came to this town because I knew this was where my granddad lived before he died. I'm currently squatting," I shrugged.

"Nice one Pistol," he smiled & walked inside.

"Thanks Harum," I smiled.

"So, it's just been you? Nobody's come to investigate yet?" he asked & that's when my body turned cold.

"There was this old lady who I assume was the owner's neighbour. She came over to give him brownies & I told her I was his niece house sitting. She was skeptical & almost called the owner on me. Then I told her that my boyfriend was coming over for dinner & asked her to help. We went into the kitchen, I hit her with a pan & shot her twice," I looked down as the brownie still on the plate.

"Where is she now?" he asked as he walked closer to me.

"She's still in the kitchen. I didn't have the strength to clean up the scene," I sighed.

"Well," he grabbed the brownie off the plate & took a bite, "I can help you tomorrow. I've been travelling all day & I'm really tired," he groaned & finished the brownie. I laughed at him as I sat on the carpet in front of the fire. He sat down next to me & stared into the fire.

"Why Harum?" I asked.

"Why what Pistol?" he asked, his focus still on flames.

"Why did you come back for me?" I asked as I rested my head on his shoulder.

"Because we need you. Because I need you," he whispered.

"What?" I asked as I got up from his shoulder & stared at him.

"I need you Hayley. You give me this strength. You give me this feeling. This feeling I have never felt with anybody. Hayley, I don't know but there's something about you that drives me crazy. Even when I was with Cougar, I still thought of you & I didn't know my feelings but I know my feelings now," he gripped my hands tightly & looked into my eyes deeply, "I wanna be with you Hayley," he whispered & ran his fingers under my chin.

I was enticed. His touch made me weak. "I wanna be with you Hayes," I whispered & he went for it.

He kissed me deeply & the fire felt warmer, my heart felt softer & my lips felt his lips & I felt alive. He pulled away & trailed his hands down to my shoulders.

"This robe is nice. Where'd you get it?" he asked as his eyes wandered. His eyes were soft & filled with peace.

"I got it from the master closet," I said soundly.

"It looks very nice on you. The way it just falls onto your body & hugs your figure by your waist, it's beautiful," he whispered as he shifted closer to my neck, "what's under it?" he started delicately kissing my neck.

"Something you should take off," I whispered as I dragged my hands down to his waist. He untied my robe as he continued to kiss me & I pulled his shirt over his head.

Next thing I knew we were making love by the dying fire. Our bodies were in touch. We were moving in sync to each other. It was just a moment I had been waiting for.

"You're mine Hayley," Hayes whispered as he continued.

"You're mine Hayes," I moaned softly.
