Hayley // Pistol

"Gather round. Gather round," Harum called out as he stood in front of the fire. We all sat down at our stumps & the guys were generous enough to move mine right next to Harum.

They really liked us together. Said it kept Harum grounded & human. That I was just what he needed after his crappy life. It felt nice to be a remedy to someone because he was my remedy too.

"Karnis. Brothers. We have gone through a lot together. All the heists. All the shootouts. All the dangerous deals. The almost arrests. The almost kills. & here we are. Sitting here unharmed in this abandoned cabin for over two years now. It's been a great journey. I really consider you guys family. I've been thinking these past few days. About the future. About life as a normal kid again & I have come to the decision. I have decided to disperse the Karnis for good," his voice went quiet.

They all went quiet. The most quiet I've ever seen them. But their faces didn't have disagreement on them. Rather looks of understanding & agreement.

"That's why tomorrow I have personally planned our biggest heist yet. One so dangerous that if anything goes wrong, our asses are had. But if it turns out to be successful. We will ball more than ever. Don't be sad brothers. Don't think of this as goodbye but rather as smell ya later. It's been the best guys. Now let's open some cold ones & get started," he smiled. It was a painful but rather soothing smile. The guys cheered & passed around the cases while other lit their joints & cracked their cans open.

"So why did you guys run away from home?" I asked as I took a sip from my can.

"I got no attention in my family. But clearly they still miss me, according to my brother," Harum admitted & shrugged while sipping his drink.

"I was different to everyone & my family couldn't accept that so I left," Baby faced admitted & smoked.

"Same here," Meechie raised his hand.

"Abusive parents," Cube admitted & that broke my heart because Cube was the sweetest guy I've ever met.

"My girlfriend was actually about to kill me so I split," Stooge chuckled as he drank. We all looked at Badger, who looked at us with a poker face.

"No secrets," he murmured.

"Tez," Harum nodded at him.

"I was worried about Hayes because him & I go way back so I followed him out here & have been looking after him ever since," he looked down at his joint in his hand.

That was honestly so sweet. I never knew Badger was so caring. Maybe that's why he's so quiet.

"Well. I'm a heir. I was supposed to take after my father when he kicks the bucket. But that was so much pressure. I couldn't. I knew I had to get out of there. Plus being a rich kid isn't all that guys. It really isn't," Benz sighed. I actually felt sorry for him.

"& what about you Pistol?" Badger asked.

"You guys already know," I chuckled.

"We wanna hear again!" Meechie yelled.

"I killed my boyfriend so I had to split. Also, my dad doesn't understand me. There," I blew the smoke out of my mouth.

"Alright Karnis," Harum began,

"Here's the plan. So tomorrow at 11am we're gonna hit Bridge Centre Bank. Now I know that's risky. We've never ever done a bank before but I know we got this. I updated our weapons two days ago & we got this on lock," he encouraged.

"It is risky. The only entrance is through the front & the police can make it there in five minutes tops," Cube explained.

"Damn really?" Stooge asked.

"Yeah, he's right. The station is just five streets over," Cube explained.

"That's why I need you babe," Harum turned to face me.

"What? What you mean?" my heart began to race.

"I have this ear piece that Meechie & Stooge can program because they're like master hackers. You need to go in there & they'll guide you. You give us the signal & then we bust in there, get the money & make a break for it. Can we trust you?" Harum asked & held my hands tightly.

My heart was beating. If I got this wrong then it would cost the whole team. I was scared but I knew I needed to do this.

"Yes babe. I'll do it," I nodded. The guys all cheered. We all stood up & held our cans high.

"To the Karnis," Harum declared.

"To the Karnis," we chanted in unison.

To the Karnis indeed.
