Yesterday was absolutely terrifying.

I mean, of course it's scary when your partner is in an accident. But what was also terrifying was that we had our first performance of the year yesterday.

Not that that's bad or anything. Yesterday was just stressful.

"So, has the agency contacted you yet?" Luka asked me. Right.

Luka took a bunch of photos of me and I sent them into a modeling agency. Never too early to chase after your dreams.

"No, not yet," I replied. He stroked a piece of hair out of my face.

"Well, I can't wait for when you get a modeling gig with them," Luka exclaimed.

"How do you know that I'm going to get even the smallest of gigs?" I questioned, looking up at him.

"Well, you are beautiful and I did a pretty good job of taking good photos of you," he replied. I playfully hit his arm.

"Hey! At least I like you," Luka told me.

"You're right, I know that you like me because I'm a great person," I responded, flipping my hair.

"No wonder why I fell in love with you," he said. I giggled and leaned into him, resting my head on his shoulder.

I was actually at his house for once. I was standing with him after the play when his parents came to pick him up. They invited me over for dinner.

So now I'm here. In a safe place with someone I love.

"Are you kidding me Jay?" I shouted at Jay who was sitting on the floor next to me. We were playing Portal 2 on his PlayStation, obviously at his house. Jay just jumped off of a bridge and into some water, causing for his character to be sent to the beginning of the level.

Jay started laughing as he made two portals right next to each other and started running through both of them, not helping me solve the puzzle.

"JAY OH MY GOD!" I shouted, starting to laugh a lot. He did the same.

He grabbed some popcorn from the bowl sitting in between it and stuffed it in his mouth, still laughing a bit. I took some as well, smiling as I ate.

"Okay, let's be serious now. I need you to get that cube over there and place it on the red button next to you. Then we can move on to the next level," I instructed.

Jay looked confused. "That's all I have to do?"

I nodded. "Yep. While you were running through portals and falling into the water multiple times, I actually did everything else we needed to do to solve the puzzle.

Jay rolled his eyes.

"Hey! It's true!" I acknowledged as Jay moved his character to get the cube and place it on the red button. This opened up the doors up for us to advance to the next level. We moved our characters into the elevators to move to the next level and a loading screen popped up on Jay's TV.

I turned to look at Jay, who was smiling and holding one of his hands up in the air. "We did it! High five!" he shouted.

I shook my head. He pouted at me.

"Why no high five?" he asked, looking sad.

"Because it was actually me who did all the work," I replied, trying not to laugh.

Jay pouted some more before setting his black controller on the ground and tackling me, almost knocking over the popcorn bowl placed between us. He started tickling the sides of my stomach.

"Jay!" I shouted as the two of was were on the ground, laughing.

I wanted to be stuck in the moment forever. Actually, I take that back. I would not want to be tickled for the rest of my life. Hopefully you know what I mean.

Grant and I were at my house playing Would You Rather. It was a great game to pass the time.

I sat across from him in my bedroom, checking my phone every so often. I was worried about how the other girls were doing after the crash, even though they weren't in it. They could be having a hard time to process what happened. I don't know.

"Hmmmm, would you rather live somewhere that was always snowy or always warm?" Grant asked me.

I laughed. "Kind of a lame question, but defiantly somewhere warm," I replied.

"How is that lame? It's a perfectly good question," he said back to me.

"I don't know, it's just such a basic question," I acknowledged.

"How to you define 'basic'?" he asked curiously as he shifted his siting position.

I picked up my phone to look up a definition when Grant stopped me. "Use your own words. I want only your perspective on things like this."

I sighed and put my phone down. "Okay, fine."

It took me awhile to figure out a good way to explain "basic" without forcing myself to ramble too much.

"Well, to me, basic is something that everyone else is doing. Like how all the popular girls at our school wear mom jeans and all have perfect bleached blonde hair. They do that because it's what the current trends are," I explained to him.

"Define popularity. Would you say that you are popular?" Grant asked me. I sighed.

"Definitely not. I guess popularity is how much other people like you are how many friends you have. I wouldn't know though," I exclaimed.

He cocked his head slightly. "Why wouldn't you know?"

I grabbed a nearby pillow and hugged it close to my chest. "Because I'm not very popular?"

Grant scoffed. "You are popular, and don't try and doubt it."

"Name a few instances that could have given me a higher social status."

Grant sighed and cracked his knuckles. "Well, you did land a pretty big role in the play last semester."

"It wasn't that big," I said, blushing.

Grant leaned over to kiss me. "I would like to think otherwise."

I was over at Fey's house, as her parents actually like having me around. I was in Fey's room with her, and we were lying on the floor, facing each other. Things felt calm, but tense at the same time.

"So, your parents are okay with us?" I asked for maybe the fifth time.

"Yes Mal. They really like you," Fey said as she snuck her arms around my back and pulled me closer to her. Our noses were touching, that's how close we were.

"Can we just lay here together? Forever?" I asked.

Fey chuckled. "Of course," she said as she pulled me closer, if that was even possible.

"Has your mom said anything about us?" Fey asked me.

"No. She still thinks I'm single," I replied.

"That might be a good thing, since she's, you know, homophobic," Fey exclaimed.

"Yeah," I agreed, "I just wish that we could run away together."

"Me too. Let's put it on our bucket lists," Fey offered.

I smiled. "I like that."
