Scene 2 Act 1

{Kalea}

"Don't forget to study for the test on Monday!" I heard Mr. Collins, my science teacher shout to the class as we all stood up to leave for lunch.

"Are you excited for the test?" Grant, my lab partner, sarcastically asked me.

"Totally," I replied, keeping the theme of sarcasm. He laughed.

"So, uh, do you wanna study together this weekend? At my house on Saturday?" He asked.

So many thoughts rushed through my head. Did I just make a new friend that easily? Or am I just thinking things?

"Sure!" I exclaimed a bit too loud as Grant handed me a slip of paper.

"Here is my phone number. Just text me when you wanna study, okay?" Grant told me as I slipped the paper into the back pocket of my jeans.

"Y-yeah! See you Saturday!" I stuttered as Grant waved as he left the classroom.

I quickly grabbed my stuff and practically sprinted to my locker. I wanted to tell Mallie, Dan, and Lana what happened as #soon as possible.

I quickly opened my locker, threw my binder and my science textbook into my locker. I grabbed my lunchbox and slammed my locker shut, as I left my locker running to the cafeteria.

I ran as fast as I could into the cafeteria and frantically started to look for my friends. I then saw Dan, with her blue and green colored hair, dab across the room as Lana and Mallie watched. I sighed heavily and approached the table.

"Hey Kalea! How has your day been going?" Lana asked me.

"Great, you will not believe what happened in science today!" I exclaimed as I set my stuff down and sat next to Dan.

"What happened? Did Mr. Collins attempt to dab again?" Mallie asked me just before she shoved five french fires into her mouth.

"No, even better!" I happily almost shouted.

"What's better than that?" Dan asked while dabbing again.

"Um, lot's of things," Mallie said.

"Well, I made a new friend today!" I exclaimed to my other new friends.

"Oh really? What's their name?" Lana questioned.

"Grant Gustin! He's my lab partner in science," I told my friends, not bothering to mention how attractive he is.

"OH MY GOD GRANT?!?! ARE YOU GUYS GONNA HANG OUT?!?!?" Dan frantically asked me.

"Yeah! He invited me to study with him for the test on Monday at his house this weekend!" I told them.

"Oh my God Kalea! Do you know what this means?" Lana asked her with a mouthful of food while slamming her hands on the table. I shook my head.

"It means that he probably likes you Kalea!" Lana exclaimed after swallowing her food.

"Wait? Really? What? I thought he was just being nice?" I constantly asked.

"Did he give you his number?" Dan asked me. I nodded

"I have his number right here!" I said as I grabbed the paper out of my back pocket to show my friends.
