Chapter 20: One step backwards

Evan's POV

Things were better than I expected them to be with Cece. Still the situation was difficult; I had to deal with Eric and Jason as soon as I can. Jason was fixed in making Cece talk, and I didn't like him, at first I supported him just because I was clueless and needed help with her, but now that I gained her trust I have to get rid of him, she trusts me and I don't want Jason getting in the middle of us.

Now my mind is much more clear to think, I have more hope than before and I will do whatever it takes to make Cece get better- I know I have to figure out what happened, I want to know every detail of what she has been up to since that Friday afternoon, but I have to give her time and try not to question.

Recalling that day I know she went to a party with Nicole- and she told her parents she would be sleeping over at her house but then she went to Eric's... I still didn't know what to think about that guy, he is definitely not Jason but sometimes I think he is a threat. Does Cece likes him? I wondered weeks ago, their relationship was too good and I think they spend a whole lot together, the jealous chicks that wanted Eric hated Cece, they said they were secretly dating and that made me mad. What might have happened in that party? Why did she go to sleep at his house... have they slept together? Ugh, no, I took that thought away quickly because I couldn't stand it. Yet, I don't care how big or powerful Eric was I was going to confront him, if he does care about Cece he will let me know what he does, he isn't as possessive towards Cece as that little brat of Jason.

I could not concentrate in our economics class today, too much was going on but I used the time faking I was paying attention as I stared at the blackboard while I kept thinking about Cece.

That Sunday when I turned on the television and it was all over the news the reports of her disappearance I almost loose it. I ran to her house and spoke with Nate- he was devastated as they couldn't find her. I don't know if I was more mad when I learn that she had been kidnaped, I was hell of worried and angry because his family didn't let me see her, I was mad at Cece because she didn't want to see me, it was a frustrating day.

Then Nate told me about how her aunt died, and how Cece had been there... I sincerly wanted to kill everybody around for keeping me away from her. I knew I had no rights to see her since last time we talked we fought, but I was worried and the fact that Nate told me she was perfectly okay, worried me even more, rightfully I learnt later.

"Lunch time class, please remember to bring written the essay for tomorrow" Mr. Connors reminded us and finished the class.

I was ready to rush out the class to get to Cece but I was held on.

"Evan!! Come over here a sec." Skylar's squeaky voice called for me.

"Umm I am kind of in a rush so we will talk later."

"No come on Evan is a short chat." She assured "I'm throwing a party next Friday, it would be great if you could come..."

"Ugh Skylar I don't know I am kind of busy."

"What, with that Cece slut?"

"Slut? Skylar why don't you shut up!" I groaned.

"I am right, it is a real pity what happened to her but she is a bitch, she toys around with you Eric and Jason." she defended her statement.

"She does not, you don't know what you are talking about!"

"Oh yes I do, rumors say she was a total slut in a prep party, and when Eric saw her he couldn't help but fuck her- then she invented she was abducted when she really was out having fun and then she didn't care a fuck when her aunt died right in front of her eyes..."

"Repeat that ever again and I don't care shit, I will make sure to ruin you !" I threatened her and rushed out of the room.

What part of what she said was true? My blood was boiling and it did not get better when I didn't find Cece in our lunch spot. I ran up the stairs worried to get to her classroom.

"Come on Cece what the hell happened to you? Tell us we all want to hear!"

"Leave me the fuck alone"

"Wow, are you this wild in bed too? Come on Cece we are friends just tell us what happened, you were much more fuckable before now you are an anorexic bitch that...."

As I entered the classroom the guy talking, stopped.

"Come on continue, it won't stop me from beating the shit out of you." I smirked as I made my way to Cece pushing all the ones that had locked her in a circle.

"Evan go away!" Cece told me. What the f*ck?

"If all of you are still here in five seconds I won't doubt to deface all of you" I clarify making the stupid brats rush away.

"Are you okay?" I asked then gently.

"I had it under control, why are you here?" she screamed at me.

"Oh it just didn't look like!" I shouted back.

"Well it was!" She angrily told me and then we stare at each other timelessly- and I realized things weren't much better really and she was going to drive me crazy...
