@camerondallas: I'll take care of you

. . .

9:30 pm

"Hey, Mario. What's up?" I greet as I answered the call on my phone. "Where are you? We've been trying to contact you for about 7 hours now; we almost thought you got killed or something!"

"I'm still alive, so you guys don't need to worry about me." I reply, searching for my bag on the luggage conveyor belt. I ran towards it once I saw it. "Yeah, but where are you?" Mario repeats.

"LAX?" I more-of asked than said. "What the fck are you doing there?! Your flight's not until tomorrow afternoon!" He screams, making me squint my eyes to how loud that was. "I wanted to get back home tonight, so I rebooked my flight." I answer, walking towards the exit of this airport.

"You could've told us so that we wouldn't be here, worried sick about you!" He exclaims, making me sigh. "Bro, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have taken off on you guys like that but I really need to be here right now." I explain, apologizing.

I heard Mario sigh on the other line before responding. "Just - just don't do that again, okay, Cameron?" I smile, nodding. "Yes." Once I was at the exit, I immediately spotted Matthew, waving at me.

"I have to go. See you in a few days." I say to Mario on the other line. "Okay, bye, take care." I ended the call and slid my phone inside my pocket. "Cameron!" Matt exclaims, pulling me into a hug.

"How's the party going?" I ask, throwing my suitcase inside Matthew's car compartment. "It should be on full swing by now." He chuckles, getting in the driver's seat while I hop in the shot gun.

"You're so in love with her, man." Matt comments as he started the engine. I narrowed my eyes at him and shook my head. "I don't like her like that." I defend, turning my gaze back at the road.

"She's one of my bestfriends, of course, I had to be here to celebrate with her." I add, shrugging. "Yeah, yeah, whatever you say." Matthew replies, laughing.

. . .

"Do you want to just barge in there or let me look for her first?" Matt asks, parking his car in front of the event place. "Go look for her. Just to make sure she's still inside." I say, nodding.

"Okay, stay here until I give you a call or something." He, then, hopped out of the car and ran inside. I sigh, brushing my fingers through my messy hair and took my phone out. While scrolling through Twitter, I received a text from Sofia.

babe, where are you?

I cursed under my breath, remembering that I forgot to tell her I've already landed.

I'm back in LA but I'm here at Bri's party right now

I typed, sending back. Just when the speech bubble appeared, Matthew's contact name appeared on my screen, and I immediately answered it. "I just saw her but she walked out on Nash and I when we confiscated what she was drinking."

"She's been drinking?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. She's fcking underaged; why is there alcohol there? "Yeah, so if I were you, I'd go find her." I nod, opening the car door. "Yeah, I'm on it." And with that, I put my phone back in my pocket.

Just when I was about to run inside the place, I see a familiar blonde sitting on the pavement. I smiled upon realizing it was Bri. "Aren't you supposed to be inside?" She looked up at me, confused.

"Aren't you supposed to be in Portugal?" She shots back while I sat down beside her, looking amused. "Oh, someone's in a bad mood, why so? It's your birthday, be happy." I reply, chuckling.

"Shush, you're not even real. You're just a work of my imagination." She smiles, nodding to herself. Oh, god, she's definitely drunk. "And since you're not real, I'm going to tell you something." She adds.

I turn a little bit more sidewards, completely facing her and raised an.eyebrow. "Yeah?" I ask. "You know what, I hate you." She starts off, rubbing her eyes. "What did I do?" I ask back, smirking.

"I had this guy that I like and liked me back, but you had to be extra nice and give me confusing signs." My smirk disappeared and was replaced by a confused look.

"I fcking li-" Then, she falls on my chest, lightly snoring. She fell asleep, and I don't know what to feel about that. Just then, my phone started vibrating like crazy in my pocket.

Nashy boo

"Did you find her?" He asks, panting through the process. "We've been looking all over the place but she's nowhere." He adds. "She's with me. I need to take her home 'cause she passed out." I said through the phone.

"Is she okay, though?" He asks, while I strapped Bri in Matt's shot-gun seat. "Yeah, luckily, though, she was talking to me when all of a sudden, she fell asleep."

"That would've been funny to see." He laughs, making me smile and shake my head. "You're such an idiot." I reply, hopping in the driver's seat. "I'll keep you updated." I tell him before ending the call.

I took a short look at Bri beside me before driving off. I released a deep breath upon realizing that she won't remember a single thing when she wakes up tomorrow.

That should be a good thing for me and for her, right? If she was about to say what I think she was about to say, I should be glad that she didn't get to continue.

I don't want her to say anything that she'll probably regret the next morning and as much as it would be an assurance for me, I don't know why I'm not ready to hear it.

Maybe, not yet?

. . .

I don't know how I got her up to her room, but I did. That spare key sure does come in handy. Once I was in an upright, stable position, I literally dropped her on her bed, catching my breath.

When my breathing felt normal again, I fixed her legs up on her bed and put the white duvet on top of her. She shortly shifted, groaning a bit but was back to her sweet sleep a few seconds after.

My phone, then started vibrating like crazy and I was expecting Nash or Matthew as the caller, but it was Sofia. "Oh, fck, I forgot to text her again." I whisper to myself.

"Hey." I greet, sitting on the edge of Bri's bed. "Where are you? You haven't responded to any of my calls for the past hour." She replies, sounding a bit different.

"I'm at Bri's apartment. I just dropped her off 'cause she got a little drunk." I honestly say back. She heaves a deep sigh on the other line, followed by a cough. "Are you okay?"

"I'm sick and I've been sending you loads of messages but I guess, you prioritize Brielle over me." I wanna punch myself for actually forgetting about my kind-of-girlfriend.

"I'm sorry, baby. I'll be there in a few, I'll take care of you." I turn around to see a peacefully sleeping Brielle behind me. "Okay, I'll wait for you." With that, I ended the call.

I stood up and approached Bri, kissing her forehead. "Happy Birthday, princess."

There's Cameron's point of view for you guys! It's the first one and probably the last because Bri's POVs are always easier lol. Anyway, I was supposed to put this up yesterday but my mom turned the wifi off huhu. Hope you had fun reading and stay tuned for more! :))
