PART 12
I was standing in a room full of at least 10 different guitars, drumkits, keyboards and pianos. Nathan went and took a set on the piano stool, still facing me. I walked over to him smiling.
“Go on then.” I said with a smug smile. Nathan looked confused. “I know you’re just dying to play something.” I grinned and he laughed and rolled his eyes before turning to the piano. He started playing and I instantly recognized the tune. Then he started singing.
...Oh her eyes her eyes make the stars look like they’re not shining,
Her hair her hair falls perfectly without her trying,
She’s so beautiful,
And I tell her everyday...
I fell into a dream listening to him sing. He had a beautiful voice. I could have listened to him sing all day. I suddenly wondered how I was going to cope on tour, having to concentrate on dancing while the whole time he is singing in that beautiful...dreamy voice...
“Rachel?” His sharp voice pulled my out of my daydream. I looked up at him smiling a little, “What did you think?”
“It was...amaz...awe...insa...WOW!” I stuttered and then laughed, “You must think I’m some insane fan girl huh...” He laughed and I looked confused.
“You couldn’t be further off. Rachel, you’re the most down-to-earth, funny, beautiful person I have ever met.” I could feel myself blushing. He stood up and gently cupped my face with his hand. My heart started pounding, and I didn’t know how he couldn’t hear it. His face slowly moved closer to mine. I closed my eyes as his lips softly touched mine. The kiss grew stronger, and I put one hand on his cheek. He pulled back abruptly.
“I’m sorry...” he whispered, “I...I don’t know what came over me...”
“Do you honestly think I would have kissed you back like that if I would have minded?” I smiled a little, still blushing.
“Are you sure?” I nodded and he kissed me again, on the cheek this time. I then heard an abrupt cough at the door. I quickly looked round to see Jay standing in the doorway.
