PART 13
“When you guys are quite finished...Jayne needs to talk to us all, she is on the phone downstairs.” Jay announced. I looked at Nathan, embarrassed, but he just smiled and put his hand on by back to guide me downstairs. When we got into the living room, everyone was huddled around a phone that Siva was holding in the middle. I, Nathan and Jay joined the group.
“Okay Jayne,” Siva said in his strong Irish accent, “We are all here, what did you want to tell us?”
“Guys I’m going to need you to rest up. You have rehearsals at ten am and then a show at night and that means all ten of you. I will need the guys to come up with a half hour set list. Girls you will have to stay the night. I will get your parents to get some clean clothes and send them up to the studio. You also have a meeting at one with the stylist who will kit you out for the show ok guys? I’ll speak to you in the morning. Get some sleep ok?”
We all said ok, hung up and went back to our spaces on the sofas. I looked around at the other girls’ faces. They all seemed shocked and surprised. I was just about to say something when Max started talking.
“Okay so half an hour that is...about ten songs? I think we should definitely do All Time Low, Heart Vacancy, Lose My Mind, Gold Forever, Glad You Came, Lightning and Warzone so that is seven...three more.”
“What about Invincible?” Tom piped in.
“And Behind Bars for sure.” Added Jay
“Girls can you go upstairs for a minute?” Nathan said quietly, “I have an idea I’d like to pitch to the guys.” We all nodded and he gently kissed my cheek before I got up off of the sofa. We quickly ran upstairs to the fan room and had a quick group hug.
“Okay so what’s the gossip Rach, we saw you and Nath go upstairs...” Alice said excitedly.
“Yeah Rach what happened between you and Baby Nate.” Lucy whispered, I laughed at how quickly she had picked up Jay’s nickname for him.
“Well we went up to the music room...” I smiled, teasing them. They urged me to go on so I said, “And he sang, ‘Just the Way You Are’ to me. And then we...” I trailed off.
“WELL?!” They all shouted.
“We kissed...” The girls all screamed with excitement, and I couldn’t help but laugh at them. They all bundled on me, babbling loudly.
“What was it like?” Lucy whispered.
“It was...AMAZING! And what was it like snogging Pecker Parker’s face off.” I laughed. She blushed bright red and hit me lightly on the arm.
“So what were you lot up to while I was kissing Nath?” It turned out that Siva had asked Cassie to be his girlfriend, and she said yes, and it was the same with Jay and Alice and Max and Chloe. It was now my turn to scream. I couldn’t believe it! I then turned to Lucy.
“And what about you and Tom?”
“He told me that he loved me...” She blushed and I pulled her into a tight hug.
“OHMIGOD Parker is capable of loving?” Alice blurted out.
“Yeah I am actually!” We all whipped our heads round to see Tom and Max standing in the doorway. Lucy ran over to him and he picked her up and kissed her. We all made awww sounds and Max pretended to shove his fingers down his throat before proceeding to hug Chloe.
“You can come back down now guys.” Max said, grinning like a schoolboy. We all followed him downstairs where the other guys were waiting for us.
“So have you decided what the last song is going to be?” I asked curiously, while sitting down next to Nathan.
“Yeah we have.” Nathan said. There was a long silence.
“And...?” Lucy said impatiently.
“We have decided...that we aren’t going to tell you.” Jay smirked.
“Oh come on guys you have to tell us!!” Cassie said to Siva, giving him cute puppy dog eyes. He just laughed.
“You will have to wait until tomorrow. Now guys you all heard what Jayne said. We should really rest up. I mean, it’s already 1 o’clock.” He said.
“Okay but there’s just one problem, where are the girls going to sleep?” Jay questioned. Tom just grinned.
“Lucy can sleep in my bed.” Max threw a cushion at his head, and Chloe laughed. We all decided that we would sleep in their beds. We said goodnight and Nathan lead me up to his room on the top floor. We sat down on the bed and I smiled at him.
“What?”
“Nothing I just...I can’t believe I’m here...you know...with you...” I blushed and he laughed at me.
“Rachel you’re blushing...”
“I know I just...can’t believe it...” He just laughed at me again. He then kissed me on the cheek before walking over to his wardrobe.
“What are you doing Nath?” I said walking over to stand behind him.
“Well I can’t let you sleep in your dress.” He smirked before pulling out a massively oversized t-shirt, “This should fit nicely.” I raised one eyebrow when he gave me the shirt, but didn’t argue.
“Where can I go get changed then?” He grinned at me before directing me towards the toilet. I quickly went and changed into the shirt, and tied my hair up in a side ponytail. The shirt drowned me, but it looked cute so I kept it on. I slowly walked back to Nathan’s room, only to see him in a shirt and boxers.
“What do you think?” I smiled doing a slow turn around to show off my new look.
“You look beautiful.” He said quietly. He walked over to me and lightly put his arms around me waist, pulling me close to him. He gently kissed my lips again, and I felt my face flush red. This kiss didn’t last anywhere near as long as the last one, but it was still just as perfect. He pulled back after a little while and smiled at me, keeping his face close to mine.
“We should really get some rest.” He whispered. I nodded and followed him to the bed. I lay with my head on his chest and he hugged me. I felt so safe in his arms. So secure. He started to quietly sing in my ear, and i felt myself slowly drift off.
