"Do you have any threes?"
"Go fish."
"Oh, you're kidding." Millie groaned at the boy sat across from her. Calum smirked as Ashton laughed at the two. Millie and her new friends were having a little get-together with each other. Millie, Calum, and Ashton were in the middle of an intense game of 'Go Fish' while Luke spectated the game. Michael was inside his own house next door and was searching for other board and card games they could sit and play while together, mainly searching for the game 'Cards Against Humanity'.
A door being slammed shut could be heard from a distance; Michael came skipping from him house with his 'Cards Against Humanity' deck in the air.
"I told you I'd find it, and guess who didn't believe me," Michael gloated while pointing his fingers at his friends. "You bitches. HA."
"Nice, Mikey. Only took you, what, an hour?" Millie questioned him cockily. Ashton and Calum cackled at the two of them, both yelling 'burn' very loudly to embarrass Michael. Even Luke cracked a small grin and snickered to himself. Michael just gave the group 'the finger' and sat down, pouting.
"Aw, Mikey, its okay. You're not stupid all the time." Ashton taunted him while giving his friend a pat on the back. Michael shoved him off and pushed the cards currently in play off the table and started to set up his game.
"My time." Michael stated. Everyone groaned and started to grab cards to start the new game.
As they were just about to start their game of 'Cards Against Humanity', Millie's mother walked out and called Millie inside.
"Be right back, pals. Start without me." Millie said as she got up from her seat and walked inside her house. She strolled into her kitchen to find her parents sat at her kitchen counter. Millie slowed herself down and put a confused look on her face as she stopped in front of her parents.
"Everything alright?" She questioned the pair as they sat, internally thinking.
"Yes, honey, we're just a bit concerned with some of your choices right now, that's all," Millie scrunched up her face in confusion more and pursed her lips at her father's statement. Before she could retaliate, her mother interrupted her. "You've been hanging out with those four boys ever since we got here, and we're just worried that your friend choices are a bit suggestive in some ways."
Millie stood there, flabbergasted at her parents words. She wondered, were her parents trying to say that she was using these boys for intimacy? I mean, there's Calum, but we've hardly done anything provocative, and the other boys know what's going on between us an support it, Millie added in her head. She took a second to form the correct words in her head before responding.
"Okay, wow, um no. I don't know where you would get that idea at all," Millie flared her arms up in distress. "Michael, Calum, Ashton, and Luke are not my only friends here, and I am not using them in whatever way you think I am. What kind of person do you think I am?" Millie growled at her parents and stormed off in the opposite direction, back to her backyard patio where her friends were. She slammed the sliding door after her and startled the boys at the table. Millie let out a small cry of frustration while stomping her foot on the ground. It took her a second to realize the boys were in the same atmosphere as her. She relaxed and made eye contact with them before clenching her teeth and letting out another scream and storming off away from them to the side of her house.
The four boys with their shocked faces turned to look at each other, all expressing a look of 'what the hell just happened?' They all exchanged glances at one another before Calum cleared his throat and started to get up from his chair.
