When Kings and Queens Collide

Chapter 5

    “Yes sir, so okay na yung schedule ni Sophia for her pictorial?” tanong ni Michelle sa kausap niya sa telepono.

    “Of course ma’am! Matatanggihan ba naman kita, Ms. Valderama?” sabi ng kausap niya sa kabilang linya ng telepono. “Let me take care of everything! Just say the word and we’ll be ready for you” dagdag pa nito.

    “Alright, thank you sir!” satisfied na sabi ni Michelle at nagpaalam na sa kausap nito.

    “Okay, so 3 down and I’m almost done! Na-text ko rin na si Janelle na siya ang magiging photographer for the photoshoot, so that settles it.” sabi ni Michelle habang nagsusulat sa to-do list niya.

    “Ms. Mitch!” sabi ni Neri “Hello! Good Morning! As usual, ang aga mo pa ring pumasok.  And here’s your coffee, exactly how you like it.”

    Tinanggap ni Michelle yung coffee na binigay ni Neri at agad itong ininom. “Ah finally! Now my morning is complete. Thanks Neri! this is exactly what I needed. Sobrang busy na naman ako dahil sa upcoming Christmas Event. Any ideas?”

    “Hmmm, kung concert na lang kaya?” excited na sabi ni Neri habang nilalabas ang mga pagkain para kay Michelle. Inabot niya kay Michelle yung isang sandwich.

    “And here’s your sandwich” sabi ni Neri at napangiti naman si Michelle. Kabisadong-kabisado na siya ng secretary niya. “Concert? It’s fine with me. Ugh, sana lang di maging katulad nung last year’s event, napaka-boring! Ewan ko ba with last year’s president.”

    “Yeah, I know right?” sang-ayon ni Neri.

    “Alam ko na!” napatayong sabi ni Michelle “Isang Christmas Festival and Musical Show!”

    “Wow, musical? Mukhang maganda yun!” tuwang-tuwang sabi ni Neri “I’m sure it’s going to be fun!”

    “Let’s make it a 2-part show! One in the afternoon, in which all of the investors will be gathered, and another one in the night, para naman for the students. We’ll put a mini bazaar to raise charity funds and to show that students here aren’t just good in academics but also has other skills aside from studying. We can coordinate with the other clubs din, if they have more fun ideas. And syempre, the main event is for the one at night, kasi it wouldn’t be just an ordinary musical...” pang-bibiting sinabi ni Michelle.

    “Bakit? What’s the catch?” excited na tanong ni Neri.

    “Our students will be the ones to perform!” pagpapatuloy ni Michelle “Students ang magiging star sa Christmas Show this year! What do you think?”

    “WOW!” sabi ni Neri “It’s brilliant! Marami tayong talented students here sa university. Plus, dagdag points yan sa investors natin.”

    “Hahaha! I know right? I’ll make sure that this event will be spectacular! By the way, speaking of the investors, I need to launch a presscon for them. I almost forgot” sabi ni Michelle.

    “Shocks, oo nga. Best of luck! ” sabi ni Neri ng may pumasok sa SC office.

    “O Michelle, nandito ka na?” sabi ni Adrian, ang vice-president niya. Isa naman siyang Architecture student.

    “Well, it’s a long day. Better get a headstart.” Sabi ni Michelle. “And ikaw? Hapon pa class mo diba?” tanong nito.

    “Ako kasi naka-assign ngayong magbukas ng SC office. Pero since nandito ka na din naman, ikaw na! hahahaha” sabi ni Adrian.

    “Hay, sobrang dami naman kasing pinapagawa ni dean.” sabi ni Michelle.

    “Di ka pa nasanay.”sagot naman ni Neri. “Sige Ms. Mitch, I have to go, baka ma-late pa ako sa first class ko. Ang strict pa naman ni Sir pagdating sa time.” Habol ni Neri bago nag-ayos ng gamit para sa class niya. Lumabas ito ng room. Matapos ang ilang segundo, bumalik din ito.
