Look in the mirror

Look in the mirror, what do you see?

A child smiling happily.

Never knowing how much to pray,

What goes on during night's and day's.

All the love in the world bestowed,

In the future pain is what you owed.

Looking to know fiction from fact

Hoping your heart is still intact.

People don't see nightmare nearing

All you wanted,... your loved one's never hearing.

Holding back the bile and the fear

never to shed another tear.

Eyes dry as a midnight's cactus,

Tortured for my demon's practice.

Loving, hurting, pain anew,

Never knowing what to do.

Heart pumping, adrenaline running,

You die if you don't have the cunning.

Brick-by-brick, wall-by-wall,

Cast a fence around them all.

Stand back, don't let them near.

One eye open so that you won't fear.

Suspicion comes with the noon,

Even eyes are cast upon the sun and the moon.

Wanting, needing, hear your goddess

As depression is cast deep upon us

Feeling felling, oh so right

Comfort comes within the night...

SHATTER! Goes the pieces of glass,

Was your first, NEVER your last.

Spiraling through a black whole tour,

Looking for something worth fighting for.

You steal your own breaths...1 ...2,

There's nothing else left to do.

You pick up the pieces, throw them away.

Begging, pleading for just another day.

Gone were the pieces, gone was the glass,

Gone was the best friend for who you could have asked.

You could faintly hear daddy knocking on the door,

Knowing you were much worse than before.

" Daughter hear me loud and clear,

My heart is swollen with your fears.

...Know you have your families affection.

...you are so much more than just your reflection."
