A Lessoned Learned
A lesson not yet learned,
A new beginning,
A reason for me to smile.
You set your challenge.
I managed my time
And I went the extra mile.
You told me, you warned me
You spoke your game...
I was too arrogant to give in.
I thought that I could make
I thought... that I could take you
I thought that WE could begin.
I counted the dates
You went out late.
Your sins are marked by knife on my arm.
Every time you state
"Try to end this fate!"
It brings me bodily harm.
I played the fool
You played the fucking tool.
But, I can't blame you.
I started the game.
I took your name.
I thought your player game would be through.
STOP! Don't call me obsessed.
Or, maybe...
That's what I earned.
For now I'll bide my time
Accept your lies
And, when I plunge the knife through...
THAT will be a lesson learned.
